Hi everyone...
My son is 16 year old and has never like school. Since the beginning of his middle school years he has given me and his grandma problem to go to school. Now at 16 years old he does not want to attend school. His problem is he is not a morning person, he hates getting up to go to school. What other options do I have. Is 16 years old to early to remove him from school.

Of course it is, unless he wants a future washing cars at the car wash, or being the janitor at the mall. Or being a 40 year old fry cook at Wendy's.

As a parent, you make sure he is in bed on time, and you force him to get up. That is part of your job

I really hope that you talk your son out of dropping out of school at 16. Not being a morning person is no excuse. A friend of mine was very smart but dropped out of school in grade 10 because he was bored. He had endless potential and he is now stacking shelves at Wal-Mart for slightly above minimum wage and bored out of his mind. Most people who drop out at 16 will regret it by 20 so do whatever it takes to keep in school even you have to force him. He will thank you later when he is more mature. Good luck.

You bust his butt until he goes. If he still won't go to school then start taking away things such as television, video games, internet etc.
