HI,
I am from east of europe.. and l am 24.. I applied for driver licence in sc.they gave me beginner's permit for six months.l live alone and l don t have many friends here.. I have to drive to work everyday. It s hard to find somebody to come with me everyday. If police stop me what is going to happen.. Some people says lf they caught me l can not get driver licence for three years.. Is it correct?
So if it s correct it will be better to say l don t have driver licence when police stop me..

No one here is going to give you advice on how to break the law - and driving without a license is a criminal offense.
So don't drive until you get a license.

I'm not sure if that is correct (would need to look that up)
But looking up your name, the police will know that u have a beginners permit.
What about getting a moped for now? Im not sure you need a license at all for that (at least not in NY) - just an idea...
Did you have a license in Europe?
I would talk to the DMV about at least getting a conditional license - which would allow u to drive alone from 6am to 6pm (found this on SC's dmv site)

What is your legal status in US?
If you are student, and your F-1, or J-1, or M-1 visa is still valid for at least 6 months, you can apply for US driver's license which will be valid up to the last day of your visa. You don't need SSN, just a letter issued by international office at your school that you are a student.
If you are on temporary work visa such as H-1, H-2, L-1, E-1, etc. you are eligible to obtain SSN and apply for US driver's license.
DO NOT drive without license and insurance.. consequences could be extremely expensive. If you are not eligible to obtain a license, and the need is a short-term, you should seek a share ride... always see them on craigslist.

All Americans do NOT have cars.
At any rate, no one here is going to advise you to break the law. You have been given suggestions.
I "assume" you HAVE been driving without a license if you have purchased a car and registered and insured it?

No one is going to post what could happen - and we don't know what State you are in, anyway - so you can weigh whether it's worth it to you or not. No one wants the liability and responsibiity when you injure someone.
So - I think the thread is over.
