Hi AHMD folks.

My name is Alexander Bryce, I am now two days old. I was born on 29 July 2006 at 5:40 (17:40) in Landstuhl, Germany. And the first thing my mom said was "it's got hair" (She didn't have any when she was born)

You all know my grandma by now, and have heard of my mother Jaime, so I just thought I'd say hello to all of you and ask you to please be patient with grandma, as she's busy helping mom take care of me.

Initially I was in a hurry to get out, but after trying out three different techniques (water, chair, two beds) I changed my mind and wanted to stay in the room I was used to. The midwife tried to move my head sideways a lot, but I did not want to look there, I was focused on something else and didn't want to let her move me anymore. Besides, I did not like the pain my mom was going through, and every time she yelled, I turned my head to try and make her stop.

Anyway, they played a trick on me (after 12 hours), drugged mom, (and me), and then all of a sudden I was lifted out of my comfy room and had to face lights and was chilled. Then a nurse took me and just fumbled and fumbled my body all over, which I did not like at all. Grandma says I have a great set of lungs. She also says I have another 'great set' but they only look big now, and I'll grow. She also says that I'm the only man in her life that she will let get away with everything. Naturally, she thinks I'm the cutest thing breathing, and I guess I have to live with that. I already noticed that grandma has a baby feet fettish - I have long feet and she's just going crazy over them. She said I'll always have the cleanest feet in town - whatever that means.

Dad was there with mom the last three of those 12 hours, and that made mom feel a lot better. He went in with her when she had a C-section - whatever that means, but I think that's what prevented me from staying in my comfy room with womb-service. I have to actually squiggle around and make a sound now to get this thing to suck on. When I doze off on this thing, she tries to take that boob away, and I have to latch on it - that's fun. So, I guess there are no more freebies - I actually have to work at getting fed.

Grandma will help me keep you informed on my progress, so please, as I said before, be patient with her - she's got her hands full, between the hospital, two homes and two cats at present.
By for now,
Alexander

Congratulations to you and your daughter Chery!! :) :) :)

I love the name Alexander! (obviously... as it's my husband's name haha)

Too bad we didn't live closer to each other, as Alexander and my son Noah (who is 3 months old now) could probably go to school together and be friends! Although it seems Alexander is quite advanced for his age, already typing at 2 days old, so maybe he'll go to a school for the gifted. ;)

Anyway congrats again... it's a really exciting time!

Awww very cute Chery!! Actually WOW he has a lot of hair, and he looks like VERY MUCH like my friend's son.. almost like they could be related. Weird but cool!

Yes my avatar is Noah, but I'm taking it down again soon sigh. I get really paranoid about having my kids pics up on the internet.

Well tripping Granny take care and have a nap as Janine suggested! You have a beautiful grandson!

Well, Chery we know you are tired as well as excited, but we are waiting with baited breath....

How much did he weigh, how long was he?

Now go take a nap Grandma. ;)

Sorry, my concentration is a bit off right now...

He weighed 3040 grams and is 51 centemeters long. German hospitals have a different weight and measurement scale.

While Alexander and his mom are still in hospital, I will take all the naps I can because I'm going to have the 'nanny' and 'granny' job when they get home.

Snorrrrrrrre.

Sorry on being a few days late, been very busy, anyway congratulations to you, your grandson, your family. And the womb service thing was brilliant, I had a big hearty laugh out of that one. I am very happy for you and your whole family but it sounds like your daughter had one hell of a time. :) Congrats.

Congrats!!
I am so envious now. Tell Jaime she's so lucky. I wish these guys were here. At least now you both have a reliable man in your lifes... lol.. He'll cry for food. He'll cry to be changed. He'll cry to cry... lol... It's the most reliable thing in the world. Anyway, Congratulations, and I hope he goes easy on the nightly wake ups. Wait a minute... Guess he didn't want to wait till his due date huh... lol...
