How can you tell if your pregnant with Mirena?
I have had the Mirena now for 5 years, I'm supposed to replace it in March, 2009. However, my belly is slightly round and when I push it in it feels slightly uncomfortable. I scared I might be preganant. Taking a blood test will leave me in suspense for 24-48 hrs. I'm thinking of going to the ER to get tested. In addition, I have been taking several weight loss pills and drinking alcohol and worried that in the event I am preganant my baby will be born with many defects. HELP:confused:

While pregnancy with the Mirena does occur, it is quite rare as the mirena makes the uterus unfavorable for implantation.

There could be a number of reasons for your belly feeling like it does. Such as the diet pills and drinking alcohol. These two should never be combined.

Unfortunately, with the Minera, some women get lighter shorter periods, while some get none at all. The only way to tell at this time is to take a HPT using first morning urine, or a blood test, which you are already planning to do.
