He basically can't give up his rights. Even if he succeeds he will still pay support unless the children are adopted by someone else.

There is no way to get her to leave him alone short of a protective order. If he's being harassed, he should file for one.

He would have to petition the Courts to relinquish his rights but, as I said, there really is no such thing. A letter in any case is not sufficient.

I didn't mean during the sex act. I meant in general.

First, I've moved this to the Family Law forum since this is a legal issue. If you browse through this forum, you will find hundreds of threads asking the same question.

Bottomline is that courts are very reluctant tyo grant a TPR. Generally they are only granted to clear the way for an adoption or if the parent represents a danger to the child.

A parent cannot just give up their rights. If that were the case, deadbeat parents would be giving up rights right and left.

Even, in the highly unlikely event he got his rights terminated, how do you think that would stop the mother of his children? As Judy said, the only thing that would stop her is a restraining order he would have to prove real harassment to get that.

And why should his children suffer because of their mother?

Get an unlisted phone number. And no, he can't just give up his parental rights to the child and must continue to pay child support.

As long as he sends his child support check, he does not have to go see the child. He can just have no contact.

Or he can get it set up to exchange the children at a separate location and have little octact with the mother
