I Have a kenmore washer series 70 and my wife says it won't spin in the spin cycle I have not checked to see if it even works during the wash cycle.

Some folks have noticed that the door switch was preventing their washer from going into the spin cycle.

Here (http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/check/lidswitch.php) is a link to a test procedure, but first I would just press the switch down with a pencil or something to see if there is just a mechanical problem (such as a broken plunger).
