Nuance has PDF Converter software that will convert PDFs to other formats unless the file is protected. One of the purposes of using the PDF format is to protect intellectual property from being copied.
Your best bet is to go back to the source of the PDF and ask for the source document, in Word format. If you can't do that for some reason other than illegally copying the work, you can try some of the tools available, like the Nuance product or the ones NK linked to.

You can't use your curser to do it, but you can use the ctrl+A, ctrl+C, and ctrl+V.
