If it's a globe type cover look for some side set screws or thumb screws that hold the globe.
I tried to look up the ceiling fan parts on web and its seems there may be a situation with the bulb replacement. Maybe not like I said I don't know your fan. Here are some sites that pertain to the globe and light bulbs if you have troubles down the road for parts and the manufacturer which Hampton Bay is a house brand for Home Depot and is made by King Fans which is why when you look for the actual site of Hampton bay there's not a lot there. Here are some sites if you need to replace some parts in the future. Or need some further help. There a person on this site Ceilingfanrepair who has a lot of good information on the parts and phone numbers to call click on his name and there is a ton of good information on your fan for service problems and parts I took The liberty to direct you there and he is the best information for parts and services. I didn't see him logged on the site at the time thought I help out and direct you a bit.

Funny, I was going to recommend looking up ceilingfanrepair on this site. He knows everything there is to know about ceiling fans. And if he doesn't, he will find out, or help you find out.

May I suggest you get one of these and a pack of those while you are waiting for the Fan Man to show up. My understanding is that he got all tied up in a pull chain switch cord and has no idea when he might get let loose.

We try to have a bit of fun once in awhile. It helps us all keep our sanity. Now what about that light bulb change or has the poster tracked you down on the other board ?

You really let me down on this one. I was hoping to hear your advice, so that next time I have to change my light bulb I would know how. Guess I'm going to have to do this all by myself.

First, unscrew some sort of holding device that holds the duhicky to the thingamajig. (Make sure to remember where all stuff goes, so it will be easier to reinstall). Replace bulb. Next, drink beer, pat yourself on the shoulder for taking this project on all by yourself.

Second, drink beer and reassemble.

Third, drink beer, disassemble, and try to figure out how you took it apart the first time.

Fourth. Take a shot of whiskey. Realize that bulb is replaced, and figure,, who needs a cover for the bulb.

Fifth. One more shot. Ill just lay the extra parts over here. Ill put it back together tomorrow.

Two months later... Now where the hell did that ceiling fan light cover go. I can't find it any where. Oh well, who wants a shot?

Ok, I need a model NAME not a number.. . But usually.. . You apply pressure to the glass and rotate it counterclockwise until it drops out.
