Is it possible to turn off the Adaptive Intelligent Recovery feature on the Honeywill Pro TH4000 thermostat? If not, does Honeywell make another 5-wire thermostat that does not have A.I.R.

Your manual so you can read it and see if it can be turned off. In this manual is also Honeywells phone number for any questions.

Honeywells thermostat site. Look around and see what you find that does not have A I R.

Catalog (http://customer.honeywell.com/honeywell/UI/Pages/Catalog/ApplicationCategory.aspx?Catalog=Homes&Category=Thermostats_102&ChannelID=%7b2EB2F178-20ED-44E0-97FB-CCFB4218DD64%7d)

Set back thermostats do not work well with heat pumps.

I have been using the Honeywell AIR system since 1978 when it first came out. Properly installed and adjusted it works great for me on all 3 of my home thermostats.

The information about Adaptive Intelligent Recovery (AIR), early start or Smart Response etc. is in the Installation Guide not the users manual. See http://customer.honeywell.com/, enter your model #, i.e. Pro TH4000 for Early Start, Smart Response, Automatic Intelligent Recovery – See installation Guide Pro TH4110
http://customer.honeywell.com/techlit/pdf/PackedLit/69-1849.pdf, There are several installation Code Settings, #13 = 0 turns off AIR
