My computer won't download anything from websites I try and try but it don't workwhat is it

What exactly are you trying to download? What browser are you using(Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)?

I'm using internet explorer and I want to download custom firmware and stuff like that

So the websites aren't loading? Or are the websites loading, but you can't download the content?

I hit download and it does but when I look for it its not there and my computer cnat find it

When you click download, which location are you saving it to?

I save it to the desktop and then it won't work so I save it to a flashdrive and it don't work

What operating system are you using? Windows 98, 2000, ME?

I'm not all that familiar with Windows Vista. Are you sure that the content you're downloading is compatible? Does it not run or can you not find it after the download completes?
