Hi all,

We are installing an above ground pool, we got the ground level and the day of installation it downpoured rain. Now the area where the pool is being installed is wet very very wet. We have clay in the area to top it off. We have been waiting for the ground to dry for 2 days now. The other question is should we be installing the pool in this area (actually the only area big enough) or what can we do to dry out this area. The manual says not to add dirt but it looks like that might be the only solution at this time..

Thanks for any answers..

Hi I also am having probs with installation. But about the adding dirt. I did that and it doesn't work because the water weight sinks the newly added dirt and where you added to level is no longer level. My experience anyway :)

ladonna,
Thanks we did finally get the area fairly dry and then it rained again today, my man is about ready to scream. The ground is level still but mushy. What size of a pool are you installing? Ours is a 12 by 24 foot Oval... the problem now is we are leaving on holidays in a day and wanted the pool up before we left now that doesn't look like it will happen...

Ours is an 18ft pool. We cannot seem to get the ground level enough, I guess. Everything says it is level but the liner keeps collapsing when a foot or so of water gets in there. Going to have to start from square one I guess. And... my man HAS been screamin for a week now, lol :). Thanks. Sorry for your probs with yer pol. Good luck and have a fun holiday.

Installed a new liner, 18' above ground pool, put about 1' of water in, problem is when I installed the top pieces the last piece overlaps about 3", any suggestions?

My husband and I have waited for 6 weeks now for our pool a 30x54" above ground to be installed and every time the guy comes he still says because of nightly rains the ground is still too soft and damp! Summer is going to be over before we get this pool in. Any suggestions?
