Do I use motion to joint / shared custody or motion to grant joint /shared custody ?

What state are you in and do you have any existing orders from the court concerning this matter ?  What exactly are you trying to accomplish ?

This is a hard issue,  is the other party in agreement ?  I recently did one and it has to include a parenting plan written up from a state specific forms.  When I was done the child custody agreement was over a inch thick.  This is not a simple issue, unless both parties agree.  Even then I would use at least a paralegal

I think he's looking for the format of a Motion - that's why I'm not sure what he's asking.  Also what State.  Varies State to State.  Some use forms, others use cut and paste documents.
 
Doesn't sound like a separation agreement/custody agreement.  Of course, I've been wrong before - :)
