Me and the father of my two daughters were together for almost 6 years. He was a drug user and very abusive most of our relationship. We now have been separated for almost 4 years and he is not an active part in their lives. I do receive support on occasion when it is taken from his pay checks (when he is working). I am planning to get married this year and what the girls to be adopted by my fiancé. I dread the thought of something happening to me because my girls would be forced to live with a man that does not care about them, and is involved with drugs. I have always tried to make him apart of their lives by giving him our phone # and giving him chances to see the girls but he does not want any part of it. He is also the father of 7 other children. I want him to give up his rights but he is very stubborn and won't do it just to spite me. I there a way to have his rights taking from lack of involvement? Please help me.

Normally no your exact state makes some difference, for example here merely not paying or not seeing child is not grounds to take rights away, but a longer prison sentence is.

So you see about being tough on support, get him thrown in jail for back support and so on, so he will be glad to get rid of you causing trouble
