Hello, my name is john.
I was wondering if someone can help me out its very urgent.
I have a 1992 honda civic si 1.6l d16z6 engine. I never had any problems with my car before until I parked it at my house one night and roughly about a full day later I went to go start my car and it wouldn't start. The car is turning over but its not starting. So I got a test light and I checked all my fuses and there was no problem there... then I checked the power going to the distributor and there was power. Then I decided to take out the ignition wires going to the spark plugs and I stuck a screw driver all the way in and then grounded it, then tried to start it and to see if I'm getting spark... there was no spark.. so I'm guessing it's the distributor but I'm not sure.. not wanting to go buy one if its not the problem!! Please help.. :o

If the Check Engine Light comes on a goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON, the odds are that you need to replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

These are the two most problematic components on this generation of Honda. I recommend replacing these items every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. Be sure to apply a thin, even coat of thermal heat compound on the back of the new ICM, otherwise it won't last long.
