I saw a full length animated feature in Germany in the mid 1980's, between 1982 and late 1986, that I'm trying to find.
The plot was about a stone age man who wandered around looking for other men, all the while screaming out "mensch," which means "human being" in German. I remember seeing dinosaurs and a lovely stone age female, and around the end of the movie I recall some sort of catastrophy occurring, a volcano maybe, that pushed all the living creature down the same road. Definitely some sort of art house film. Kind of reminds you of the comic strip "B.C."
I've searched under "mensch" animated movies etc. with no results. Any help would be appreciated. I don't know which country put it out, but I don't think it was Japanese.
