Your mother probably doesn't like him for good reason. Remember it's been her joy to have you and raise you for the last 16 years. Nobody loves you like she does, and nobody will look out for your best interests like she does. I would really listen to her.

Having said that, if this young man intends to make you his wife then I suggest you get married before you live with him. Once you move in with him there is no incentive for him to marry you and I guarantee that your relationship won't last.

You are too young to be making this decision, just like both of you were to young to have sex responsibily, and now you have a wonderful child, but if you had been older and wiser you would realize the adult decision's necessary to raise a child properly.

If you want to make an adult mature unselfish decision that will be in the best interest of your baby then do NOT move in with your boyfriend. Listen to your mother and rely on her support so that you can better yourself through schooling so that your child can have a better life. If you move in with him now, you will be doomed to low paying jobs and poverty; what kind of life is that for your baby?

You now have a baby, it's time to grow up and make unselfish adult decisions that are in the best interests of your baby and not in the selfish interest of a you acting like the child you are and should be at your age; but now you are a mother and you have to act like one.

That's the difference between being grown up and a child. The grown up will do the unselfish thing, they will put their child first before themselves. You on the other hand are still acting like a child wanting to avoid the issues in front of you by moving out. You made the decision to grow up by having a baby, it's time to start acting like the mother you are and do what's best for your child's future well being by doing what is best for you in terms of schooling and have your mother help with the baby, etc.
