I just started working for a real estate agent and I wanted to know what kind of form he should provide me with so that I'm able to file my taxes when it comes around to doing them? I work part time (25 hrs/wk) and I don't work for the company, only him. Does he have to provide me with some kind of form in order to do my taxes? Please let me know.

If you are an employee you will get W2 and if you are an independent contractor you will get 1099-misc from your employer.

Yes are you an hourly employee, or a contract worker
If you are a actual employee, they should be withholding taxes, paying unemployment and so on.

In almost every case, real estate agents are independent contractors who will get Forms 1099-MISC and must file Schedules C and SE with Form 1040.
