I'm 22 and have been on birth control for a while. My period has been irregular recently but I was told by the doctors that it was normal. However, I didn't get my period this month, just some spotting, and had extremely painful cramps. Is this normal with birth control? There is absolutely no way I could be pregnant.

If you haven't been having sex then no, you can't be pregnant, but, if you have, even with the pill, yes, you could be. No birth control is 100% effective.
Did you miss a pill? Do you take your pills at the same time daily? The only thing I can think of is that a pill was missed or something along those lines.
If you're concerned it's best to talk to your doctor, we can only guess what could be wrong.
Good luck.
