I remember a movie from when I was younger (I don't remember if it was new or not) but I am 22 years old if that helps at all.

The part of the movie that sticks out in my mind is a boy (maybe 10 yrs oldish) kind of fred savage-looking (maybe it was even fred savage haha) in a super shiny spaceship thing with a "robot" that talks to him... he drove the spaceship by putting his hands on white glowing ball type things (like roll on deodorant kind of? Haha) and the "robot" was a metal snake type thing with a white glowing screen on the front (part of the spaceship)

Everyone I've tried to describe this to just told me I'm crazy but I hope someone can help! It's driving me crazy!
