I'm I correct in saying that during the early part of the 1900's the stones which form Stonehenge were re-erected into the positions as we see them know, after spending centuries lying on the ground?

Some stone have fallen and been re-erected over many years.

Most recently - 1963 - a gale knocked one over and the stone was re-erected.

But stones were also re-erected in 1958. Some stones were re-set (in danger of falling) in the early 1900's.
It think stones were re-erected as far back as the bronze age :) - found these...

I know the standing stones at Avebury were re-arranged early last century.
