I have a small but irritating leak coming from the pvc pipe (at an elbow joint) from the AprilAire unit on my furnace. Is there a quick fix to stopping the leak without installing new pvc piping?

Plumber's epoxy. Comes in a roll, break off a piece, knead it per instructions and smash in and over the crack. If it's only an air leak this should be permanent. Even condensate drainage will not cause problems.

Hi all:

Even better will be a PLASTIC EPOXY.. much like plumber's epoxy putty but it is chemically similar to plastic so will work best here... sold at all home depot, Lowe's, or menards stores everywhere... in the epoxy isle... ;)

Be sure to SCUFF the plastic pipe and hole up real good with a coarse sandpaper to increase bonding area, and of course read instuctions on the tube.

Good luck...
