I have 2 friends that are completely in love with each other and don't want to loose each other. She lives in and is a natural born citizen of the US. He lives in and is a natural born citizen of the UK.
They want to move her to the UK and get married. But finding out how to do it completlely legally has been a challenge. He has 3 children and a sibling that is in his custody so this seems like the easiest route.
The questiion is how would they go about getting married or even eloping and moving her there as soon as possible?

United Kingdom Marriage License Information (http://marriage.about.com/cs/marriagelicenses/p/unitedkingdom.htm)

The link above is how to get married in the UK. She may need to live with him for about 2 weeks before they get married according to the site

But

It may be easier in the US depending on the state you live in. I believe that if they were married in the US it be recognized in the UK

Hi There
I am in the process of applying for a fiancé visa to go to the USA.
From what I have read about your best and safest bet is to go home when planned on your return ticket and apply for a K-1 fiancé visa.
It may be slightly different if you want to live in UK. But if you want him to come to USA then this is defo the way to go. If he enters the USA with the intent to marry you, he can be banned for 5 years or more from entering the US so be careful.

I found an amazing site online called VisaJourney.com, take a look at this for advise.

Good Luck
Let me know how you get on or if you need more advise.

There are a number of options... this can be another source of current info as some things have changed just since last November:
