My housemate just decied to move out we are both on the lease, is she resposible for her share of the rent until someone else moves in to the house or is it my responibility to pay it if I stay in the house

Technically she can be held responsible for breaking the lease and needs to pay. If you want to continue living there it is your responsibility if you can't get the money out of her. Then you can take her to court showing that she broke her share of the lease. In the meantime somebody needs to find another person to take her place asap.
