Hello all!
I am 21 years old. All my life I have taken great care of my teeth... you know, brushing twice a day and eating heathly. I had braces and everything when I was younger.
So about 2 or 3 years ago I switched to a dentist that takes adults. Both my grandparents, aunt and mom go to this same dentist. Apparenly, he's really great.
Anyway, every time I go in there, they say I have a 'pinhole' cavity that needs to be taken care of. They ask me every time.. 'do you drink soda? Chew gum a lot? Eat sticky snacks?' and always the answer is NO. I mean yeah sometimes, but its not like its part of my diet. I work at a gym and I work hard to stay somewhat healthy. I chew gum but its sugar free.
The dentist and I cannot figure out why this is happening... maybe I need to brush longer? In this past yr I even started flossing more often! So I don't no what it can be!
THE ONLY THING I can come up with is this: When I am away at school (the past 4 yrs) I kind of party a lot. I drink and I smoke ciggs a bit.. I used to smoke a lotta ganja too, but I don't anymore. I know smoking causes all sorts of stuff to your teeth... but I always brush!! UGH I'm so fustrated. Can someone help me?
Thank u!
