Okay this might be werid to ask ill ask anywayz

I'm 15 and I shave my pubic hair. I started about a yr ago. Now I don't know if girls like it when a guy does that or no. I do it for two reasons. 1. it keeps that area clean and it doesn't itch. 2. my looks bigger lol.

Now I don't get why some guys get all crazy when they find out a person shaves that area. Whasts so wrong about that? I mean its not that bad... does it make me less of a man? I don't see how that would be but does it?

Also do girls like it when its shaved or they want a jungle going on down there?

Ok- I agree
If that many people have looked at the post - come on - don't be sissies. Lets start a debate.

I'll go first

I am 25, and until recently the only care-taking I did was to trim the length a bit. As you know if going down on a girl, its not fun to get hair in your throat, so I figured - why not return the favor.
Actually just a week ago I had an operation where they had to make incissions in my groin area, and so when I woke up after the surgery all my hair down there was gone.
Now a week after it is itching like hell - and I walk around at work wanting to scratch all the time.
Not really ideal
I would probably have to shave every other day or so to avoid it ithcing if I wanted to keep it.
I probably won't though.
Personally I really don't like the look of it all bare down there... Just a opinion.
Wouldn't mind getting some hair off my balls though, but if anyone has found a way to actually shave your balls... well then let me know.

Let's hear a woman's perspective on it though!

Most people(guys) I know DON'T shave down there... except for a couple really serious athletes(in which case, they remove pretty much ALL their body hair). Some claim that only the porn stars do so. *shrug*
Socially, it's not considered "man" to shave, but realistically, it's a private matter.

I won't think any different of you if you do shave there, however, I definitely won't date you. But that is a personal preference. Honestly, it looks funny without the 'jungle' down there and I quite like that jungle. I don't like my guys to shave anything non-facial. On top of that, things get 'scruffy,' so unless it's "just" shaved, I don't want to touch it... OWWIE!!

And goodness, wouldn't it just itch like mad if you don't keep it 'baby smooth'? If you get lazy and miss a shaving, wouldn't it drive you cuckoo? (I hear you nordic79)

Finnaly some people replyed. Lol
Let me explain. The hole reason I started shaving down thurr was bkus I found out that in my religon you have to be clean and shaving or triming that area is a good thing to do. So that's why I do it and that's whyi shave my arm pits too..

Now I think its da opposite of what you guys said. I found that I iched more when I had a jungle rather then smooth. Now I don't really like the way it looks clean shaven. But I don't have a electric 1 so that why I have to go all the way. And it doesn't even ich. Maybe once when I got razor burn.

I like it when its like short hair. Lol same with a girls area too. When it was a jugle sad to say that it used to ich a LOT and some times my hair got caguth in my zipper(yess I had boxers on) pritty sad. Lol buh yah. About shaving your balls? I just use a blade and stretch them out. Lol hard to explain buh I don't know any other way. I never told any 1 that I shaved thurr. Shyt when this girl found out I shaved my arm pits she was giggle. Wonder what they would think about that.

I'm female, and I like to play around with my pubic hair! Sometimes I just like to trim it so it's a little longer than stubble, such that it's not rough to the touch... I can't imagine it would be nice if it was rough as sandpaper for my boyfriend when he went down on me. Occaisionally I shave down there, or should I say, my boyfriend shaves me. He can see it so much better, and finds it a huge turn-on to be so close to my 'candy' and given the chance to play with his food. He doesn't like it when I have no hair whatsoever below, just because it looks sort of pre-pubescent. It's also nice and relaxing for me to just lay on the bathroom floor and have him spend some quality time working on some artistic design.

My boyfriend hasn't been as experimental as I have been. One time he allowed me to trim his pubic hair with scissors (that took a lot of trust on his part that I woudn't snip the wrong thing). He found that afterwards it was rather itchy for a couple days. After that initial itchy phase, he didn't seem to feel any different than with his natural length. Later, we tried shaving that entire area (including balls) with an electric beard trimmer. The first day or two, he was a little itchy again, but now seems to believe that it's less itchy than his natural length.

I prefer his hair being trimmed, but I think I would find it a bit odd if he was clean shaven down there. Being trimmed makes everything look bigger, because you can see more of it.

That's about all I can think of about this topic... keep on writing stuff people!

So are you going to keep shaving your pubes

desii
Oct 1, 2004, 05:31 PM
Umm I probably will. I don't do it as much as I did before. Now like every month or so. But like I said I need a electric shaver so I can keep it trimed that's the way I like it... lol

The reason why it iched so much for you bkus it was your first time. Same here. But after that I stopped getting razar burn unless my blade cuts me.

Wats up I shaved my pubes a couple of days ago if it was up to me I probably would not do it again! It itches but a couple of my friends shave theirs regurally so they told me to try it I did it because of that and sports so I wouldn't do it if I didn't have to

I shave all of my pubes, balls and all. I like the way it makes me look bigger and cleaner, and I love the way it feels when I'm having sex or just being touched (by me or my wife). Nothing like skin-on-skin stimulation. Whenever I let it grow back, it feels like my c-ck is wrapped in a fur coat. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend it. Shave every three/four days to avoid irritation and itch.

Well I just bought an electric shaver ( like for hair triming 10 bucks) so now I don't shave with a blade any more I just keep it trimmed. Blade really made it feel irrated.

Well, 1st time on this site.. and I decided I had to post to this.

Frist off I think its just plain wrong for a man to shave his arm pits... men should have hair there.. I think you would get called gay, if someone finds out (but you might be gay/bi, so its not that bad). I have shaved my balls once, it felt great, so soft and smooth that was a few months bk.. and I'm 18. But soon the itching started and it was bad for about a week. Once it got bk to a normalish length it felt OK again.. normaly though I just trim the hairs just above it. I'm a very hairly person and like to keep it looking natural but looking decent and good.

I have an elecric razor also but I still wouldn't do it I shaved it and probably wouldn't do it again. Its not the look or feeling of it I actually like the look and feeling of it. It's the ITCHING that I hate that's the reason I just trim now

I shave my pubes. I have a vagina that it fat, so when I walk it bounces. And my pubic hair grows to 4 inches. My boyfriend sometimes shaves it when he's feekling horny. He sometimes eats the pubic hair. XD

Hey... I am just 15 and I shaved my and balls for the first time the other night. I didn't really know what I was getting into, but I just think I wan't to let it grow out and not shave. But I am really worried about if it will be a lot longer than before or really dark or more bushy than before. If someone can just let me know if I'm OK just letting it grow out and all. I just don't want it to be even more than before. I have just done it once, tried to shave even better like the next morning just too see if I could get the itchyness away, but yeah I have just done it basically ONCE. Thanks, I really want to know.

Yeah, I shaved my pubic hair once. You know, random experimentation. I kind of regret it because, although it was like a year ago, to this day some of them (the ones right in the upper area) haven't grown back. There stuck in some sort of half grown, slightliy longer than stubble, length. That would be all fine and dandy if the rest hadn't grown back full length. I don't want to have to shave again, but I think I'll have to to even it all out. Otherwise it just looks stupid. Oh, and I'm 16.

Been a shaved clean guy for years, and glad to hear that some guyz are actually going aroun the locker room withem shaved. Turns me on all over.
Here's what works for me -

Warm bath tub with 4 - inches of water, and then lube up with baby oil or even better grapeseed oil from a gourmet food store. I get the best shave with oil. No soap yet. It's all in the direction of shave. Balls and around shaft you can get a close shave against the grain, but in the general pubes area above the shaft, against the grain is a no no cause it gives too much razor burn. In these sensitive areas go across the grain only. You can't get it as close here, but you avoid burn. Same general rule applies, and you will find that some parts of the body can be shaved clean against the grain, but from experience you will find other areas that are more sensitive where you have to go across the grain and compromise closeness a bit in these areas to avoid burn. I shave pubes every day, and entire bod twice a week.

Used to dye it all the time befo I decided to go totally shaved. Just get a box of hair dye and go to it. Since you need so little, follow the instructions where it tells you how to do a strand test or allergy test. That will allow you to mix a small amount in the proper proportions and save the rest of the dyefor the next time. Tighten the lid on the bottles tight to keep the dye fresh. Pubes are coarse hair so you might have to leave the dye on longer , maybe 45 min to an hour.
The bes fun Ive had is with the light blond shades, and you will have to by the stronger light blond dye like Clairol Born Blonde and again use the test proportions to mix a small amount This will give you the light blon look that is totally cool. Most of the guyz on the local wrestling team went with this dye on their heads and pubes too.

I've been keepng my balls shaved clean every day or so and they don itch anymore, so if you like it, just keep it up.

woodtable7
Mar 31, 2005, 06:33 AM
If I were to dye it, how long would it last? How often does it need to be dyed? And does the original color ever come back?

Oresttes
Mar 31, 2005, 07:06 AM
Dye is permanent, which means that the color would have to grow out to get back to your natural shade, maybe a couple of months or so. Dark roots would begin to appear, but you could dye it again to keep it nice and light.
In an emergency to get back to your original color, you could dye it your natural color again.
When you pick the color, look on the side of the box for what the color looks like when put on your natural color. A lot of the blond colors don't do much on dark hair. If you have dark hair and want to go to a light blond, you have to get Clairol Born Blond or other type dye made specialy to do blond with dark hair.

Check it out, I think it's a real cool look, but if you don' have to go naked in the shower at the gym so nobody sees it, then have fun.

Hello everyone,

well here goes.. lol.. I am a 25 yr old female and I have tried just about everything.. from waxing (never again) to shaving, nairing.. you name it. Different shaving creams and razors.. blah blah blah.. The only thing I didn't like about shaving was the itch that came after it.. At my age walking around scratching yourself is never a good idea.. lol.. so now I very closely trim with clippers and shave to shape instead.. works well.. just rinse really good.. no complaints yet.. lol Good LUck

I believe those bumps with white in them... Those are in-grown hairs... I shaved for about a month and last time I did was about 4 or 5 days ago... I shaved mine because as far as I know naturallly

I have a lot of hair in my area... not really long but it grows on the bottom of my penis almost halfway up and up the sides a bit too... Is that normal?

I also had a problem with an ingrown hair and it stayed growing inside the skin for about 4 or 5 days and got pretty long.. it was a big bump on the underside of my penis and I got really nervous and thought I had an infected cut from shavign of some sort.. I got the hair out and was pretty lucky id say..

Does anyone know how to prevent those ingrown hairs?

Id like to hear what the ladies think about shaving too... I think we should only trim the hair short and shave the boundries to clean it up a bit...

And seeing that this topic has 23 thousand views... anyone searching this topic on a search engine... just make a name and help some people out... you too are questioning the same thing

I like it when a girl shaves or even just trims it down to size. I don't really like the bush down there... makes a mess in your mouth :)

I personally have once been shaved (for a surgery) and I remember the awful itching. I wouldn't do it on my own, unless the girl asks me to do it.

Hi, I found this on a search engine, and am considering trimming pubes and underarms, what is a good length for them?

Lennox
Jun 10, 2005, 04:00 AM
Hi I'm a male 35 and a heterosexual in the UK. I found this site and was curious as to what other people did with their pubic hair.
I've pretty much read all of the entries in this discussion, and feel it's all about what you like. Here's my story and thoughts...

I don't consider myself sexually adventurous at all.
I can't remember exactly when I first trimmed my pubic hair, probably when I was 25. It was something exciting, but with shame attached, as I thought it was a bit kinky or perverted. But after that I trimmed every few months. Length wise I guess it was a inch (25mm) long. It does make Mr Happy look larger too. But that wasn't the reason. It was more about personal grooming and general tidiness. My girlfriend at the time who is French liked it. I never had a problem in the changing rooms as with most men they try to avoid looking below the chest. A few years later I noticed that some women in porn were shaven. This I found very exciting, giving the man a very intimate insight to the vagina, and I did encourage my girlfriends to trim and shave. Some did shave and others only trimmed quite short. I use to like shaving my x girlfriend, who enjoyed it too. The thought of shaving myself became increasingly tempting, and once I asked my girlfriend if she though I should. Her reply was nothing, not knowing really what she thought, I stalled the shave until I felt that she would like it, as a rejection post shave would leave me sexless and hairless for a while. Then a year ago I read an article and it mentioned that some religion required that the men's body's were hairless on a regular basis. I was talking to some mates in a pub one night and recounted the article, and when I mentioned the part about shaving, two of my friends admitted that they shave their pubic hair off, and had done for a few years. Their Wives like it. I was in shock, as I always considered it a bit of a taboo.
So a few months later, I finally did it. Gulp! I found it quite sensual and pleasing to the eye after a day or so. At first, it looked very naked and odd. Not child like, just clean and powerful. My Girlfriend thought differently, "It looks wrong", but after a few days she got use to it, and liked to stroke the smooth skin. I kept it like that for a few weeks. The skin got red and smart for a couple of days then settled down.
I found that shaving every other day in the shower kept it smooth and I had no irritation.
KY jelly is ideal, as it's very smooth and makes it easy to see what your doing while shaving. I let it grow back as I grew bored. A few months ago after a messy break up with my girlfriend. I decided that I'd not bother seeing any women for 6 months or so. As relationships were doing my head in. I could do what I liked, not having to have approval from anyone, and not caring. I shaved my pubic hair again, this time for my own satisfaction. And I kept it like that for 2 months. Partly to see if it caused any skin irritation, it did not. I didn't find it a chore to shave it every 2 days. And it felt like I was taking pride in my penis. I don't shave it now and I don't trim either. It's very long, perhaps because I wanted a change. I know I will do it again.
The question is when it's hairy, to shave it off is a very sudden semi permanent thing to do (Exciting), but to grow it to a length that's socially acceptable in the changing (Locker) room, takes at least 10 weeks. I want to wait now until I meet a girl, and if she wants it that way, I'll do it to please her and if that pleases her it will please me. In the end of the day it's just a hair style. Tastes and moods change. As I can see in present Pornography, Shaving pubic hair is popular. But is that a fair representation of normal people who don't perform and pose sexually for others. Sure it's a stimuli for all who look at it, and influence. It shouldn't be an issue really, but sex and things connected will always gain our attention, as we are so driven by natural desire and emotions.
It's not a new thing. I'm sure it's been done for a long time, since people could cut hair I guess.
The Gay issue, well gay men are well known for looking after their appearance, so if being hairy untidy and smelly is to be a man, think how ridiculous that sounds. It's a matter of personal preference.
I hope to hear what you think, as I've realised a few things just typing these thoughts.

PS "I'm still embarrassed about what I did, and I don't think I'd admit it to anyone I know, Why?"

Im 43 male, I have been smooth down below for about 5 years now, The first time I shaved was b-4 my vasectomy. The Dr couldn't believe when he started to prep, & saw me totally shaved. I kept shaving for a couple of years, then my wife sugessted I wax as it would last longer. Now I wax every 6-8 weeks. It stays smooth much longer, after about a month it starts growing back in, then I can't wait ntil the next time I wax it off. I prefer waxing because it is totally smooth for a couple of weeks. Shaving would give me stubble daily, and I would have to shave every 2-3 days. Oh, I still shave my shaft & Balls, as it hurts when ripping the hair form those areas.

Well, an Inch is OK, not too long, the idea of really long pubic hair, the smell of bacteria from sweat that would collect there. Yuck! But isn't that the reason for the hair in the first place, to make a smell that the opposite sex find attractive?
Even half an inch is quite tidy I guess. But I imagine that shorter than that and your looking at it being irritating to your partners lol.

I shaved my and balls for the first time 2 days ago and I got razor-burn, is there anything I can do to stop the burn and make it feel all smooth and everything?

Hi SWW, in my experience, I never had any problems with shaving burns.
Some people are more sensitive than others, saying that, there are some tricks of the trade.
Have a bath and soak for 10 minutes ( after 3-4 times you'll find that you can do it without a bath, and do it in the shower)
Use KY Lubricant instead of soap. (Much smoother and closer, less dry)
A fresh razor (with the grain then against)
Use a moisturiser or oil afterwards to stop dry skin. (oil is better as it holds moisture in)
Shave every other day, and if you keep to that the hairs don't get long enough to irritate.
After a couple of weeks, the little red spots go away, and your skin gets use to it. The red spots are hairs just growing under the skin, for some reason this stops after a couple of weeks. I guess the skin hardens a little to the shaving. You might want to leave it 4 days between each shave at first, just to help the skin get use to it.
Shaving your balls is easy if the sack is warm and stretchy, not tight and hard. Also it's quite difficult to get every hair the first time, after a couple of shaves you should have done them all.
I hope this helps! : )

So when you say to soak for 10 min what does that mean? Soak before I shave or what? And what do you mean by the soap and KY? Is that instead of shaving gel? And the razor, I tried going against the grain and it killed, I cut myself, so do you mean do just go with the grain right above the shaft and against it on it? Sorry for all the questions, it's just really irritating.

First soak in a hot bath for at least 10 minutes before shave.
Don't use Soap, as it will dry the skin.
Use KY jelly or alternative, much better than gel. Gel is really liquified soap.
Shave in the direction that suits you. Usually against will give a closer shave, but can remove a thin bit of skin as the hairs will be pulled closer to the blade. This does give a slight soar feeling when doing so, as it's pulling the hair slightly out of the skin. You will get use to it.
Promise.

What would be a good alternative? Because I don't have any KY.

I am Emma,
:) I have been shaving now for about a month. I have been with my boyfriend for a month and a half, just as we was getting upto rude things, *as you do hehe* I noticed he was shaved, no I didn't think it was gross or sick or anything like that, I found it to be very nice, especially since he does it every night and it is very smooth, whilst giving him oral I do not recieve a mouth full of pubic hair either, I find it to be very sexy :D, very sexy indeed. It is cleaner and yes it is easiar for masterbating :).

So that's my opinion on it, and oh by the way it stops itching :D, like I said I have been shaving for a month and I haven't itched for 3 weeks.

Hi SWW, The acne thing sounds bad, unless you mean reddish pimples. This is just hair growing under the skin. However, if its spots/acne you have on your Penis, I might consider a trip to the Doctor, just to be safe.
What could be happening is sweat is making the bare skin soft and sore. Try Talc or even stick type deodorant after shaving. If you can't get hold of KY jelly, (Water based Glycerine lubricant) Try hair conditioner, I've heard that works well too. Different people prefer different techniques. Look on the internet, there's lots of sites about this subject as it's very popular and growing all the time.
You have to give it time, and don't expect to have porn smoothie in the first week either. Your skill and technique will improve in time, if you have the desire to keep up with it. I haven't for a long time so wouldn't expect a spotless skin the first time. I think it gets better each time you do it though.

Hi Emma, was the reason you shave your pubic hair because your Boyfriend does, as it seems to coinside with dating him?
Or was it something you did without each other knowing?
And if you both didn't know, why do you think you did it?

For guys I think it's a tightrope if your single anyway.
There seems to be two sides to it. 50% of girls like it shaven or a very short trim, and the other can't stand it.
Women on the other hand are around 75% shaven and few prehaps only 10-15% with long Pubic hair. And lets face it, Very few Men hate shaven women.

What was your perception of Shaven men before you found out your boyfriend was a smoothie. : ) and have you ever spoken on the subject to other women about it. What do your friends think?

Sorry lots n lots of questions...

Hey, thanks for replying, no I didn't shave because my boyfriend does, I got the idea to start shaving again because my ex boyfriend told me not to get showers everyday ( I was paronoid about what people thought of me) and my ex was pretty controlling mostly the reason why it ended after a year and four months I couldn't put up with it anymore, and with me being me I started to get laid back and stopped shaving and stuff, I got really laid back, and then I met Rich my boyfriend and decided that I had a reason to be on top of myself again, so here I am now.

If people had have asked me what I thought about it before I got with Rich (About guys shaving) I would not have blinked an eyelid, Im too much of an open minded person, my ex had a "bush" and I wasn't really too keen on it as it was not very nice but now I am with my boyfriend I love it!

:D

Hi Emma, your X sounds like a weird control freak! Better you're out of that.

So you shaved before then, and Rich give you a reason to be on top, Good for you.
"Self love is not vile a sin as self neglect" W Shakespeare.

Being Laid back is perhaps what I'm doing at the moment or was, as I had no real concern with meeting a women. But recently I've started to dress better, get my hair cut (Head). And I guess grooming your Pubic area is like any other part of you, tidying your appearance for others as well as yourself. Pride and respect for yourself.

Hi,
One very important thing to remember about shaving ANYWHERE on your body is this:
The more you shave, the tougher the hairs!
The more you shave your face and chin, the tougher the hairs become, and become much more "stickly" and strong.
So, keep that in mind. If you keep shaving your pubic hairs, it won't be long before you will have to shave them all the time!! Otherwise, no one will be able to touch you!
Best of luck,
fredg

Hello all. I found this thread on a search engine, so I registered to comment. I am a 20 year old male, and I have been considering shaving my pubic hair. I'm not exactly the most "experienced" with girls, so I haven't had the opportunity to hear a girl's opinions on guys shaving that area. However, recently, a few of my guy friends have mentioned to me that they do it, so now I am intrigued to try it. I have always just trimmed my pubic hair because I hate it when it is super long. I wanted to try shaving it, but a few things kept me from doing so. First off, as other people have mentioned, shaving any area makes the hair grow more quick and thicker. I don't know if I want fast-growing thick hair in that area where I'm going to constantly have to be shaving it. Also, suppose I don't like it after one shave? If I let it grow in after shaving it only once, will it still be thicker? My other question for the guys that shave is what about the hair in the surrounding areas? I have a lot of hair on my legs, butt, and stomach. I'm just wondering if it will look weird if just the area around my penis is shaved and I still have a bunch of hair on my legs, butt, and stomach. I definitely do not want to be shaving all of those other areas. Does anyone have a comment on this?

Thanks!

Just keep doing it for 6 weeks or so, and things will settle down, and look a this forum, as there's loads of advice on this subject. Some people think that it will make the hair grow back stronger and thicker. I've found no medical evidence to support that theory. Hair doesn't double once its shaved, and hair is the same thickness no matter how many times it's cut. Think about it!
It's a personal preference if you shave and if you wish to continue to do so.

Well this has been asked quite a few times but still no straight answer so I've seen. How long does it take to grow back fully? I shaved for the first time yesturday and its all stubly and don't like it. Not really to itchy but if I turn the wrong way or something that cause my member to move it'll hit the hair/stubble or cause the skin with the stubble to move and it hurts a little. I'm just going to keep it short. But I was wondering how long it takes to grow.

Lennox
Jun 29, 2005, 02:17 AM
Hi, in my experience pubic hair grows around 2.5mm per week. So it depends how long you wish to grow it, to know how long it will take to grow back.
10mm / 1cm =per month
30mm / 1inch =3 months and so on
If it's itching when you move, perhaps you're letting it grow too long between shaves, I use to shave every two days, but if you've just started, I'd shave every 4 days, for at least the first few times, until your skin cools down.
Another thing is tight underwear. If you can get away without underwear, so your little fella isn't pushing against the shaved area. That ready helps.
If you decide to let it grow to a short length, i.e. 5mm-10mm you shouldn't have any problems with itching. Beard clippers are good for keeping it tidy and a set length.

Hi there, after reading the entries and adding my thoughts, I have a question.

I am thinking of shaving my pubic hair again. It's been a long time since I did it, and this time it would be for my own pleasure. As I don't have a girlfriend at the moment.
So what do women think of men who shave, and do they think it would put some women off. Thinking of the look on their face. Would they laugh, or find it erotic?
Any women out there who will give me their honest opinion would be deeply appreciated. Hurry...

Lennox
Jul 5, 2005, 09:04 AM
The Itching will go in 2-4 days as your skin calms down. Use baby oil or if you can get Tea tree oil, that's good at calming the itch down. You might have a couple of hairs that have a reddish bump. This is where the skin has grown over the cut/shaved hair, and the hair is pushing against the skin as it grows. It will break through the skin in a couple of days, so don't panic. Within a week all the red bumps will have gone and your pubic hair should be around 2.5mm long. I know it doesn't sound a lot, but give it another week and it's half a centimetre. And so on.
I hope your itching stops soon as it sounds like your quite distressed.
Sounds like you used just any old razor too. And please tell me you didn't dry shave! If you decide to do it again, have a look at the comments, as we've spoken about different methods to get a smooth effect.

For the area to fully grow back it could take a month or more as stated depends on how fast your hair grows.
My advice is to shave every two to three days and pick a style you want to keep it

http://www.pubicshave.com/shapyourpubh.html

Could help with that

By starting so early you will be able to manage it better.

My girlfriend and I have explined it to her 13 year old daughter, she now shaves it all off all the time.

We are nudists and we all shave it all off.

Hope this helps you decide

And now I regret. Its been almost 4 days since I did it and the itching hasn't stopped so I don't know if your 2-4 days theory actually is true. But hopefully the itching will stop soon. Girl: wow! That must really hurt.
I can only guess how bad it must feel!!
I would think that it must be 10x worse than if you had shaved with KY jelly or a shaving balm/gel.
You have probably scratch a lot of skin off, so you will have a lot of red bumps around the shaved area.
The best thing to do, is leave it for a week or two, so your skin recovers.
Then if you want to try it again, follow these steps, I'm sure you'll find it a much nicer experience.
Trim any long hair with scissors or clippers.
Then have a hot bath, make sure you soak for at least 10-15 minuets.
Get a brand new 2 or 3 blade razor.
Apply shaving Cream/Gel/Oil (I find KY jelly is very good as it's very slippery and water-based), so it doesn't clog up the razor.
The hairs are soft, and your skin is supple, some people run some cold water over the area, but I've never done that.
Then shave in the direction of the hair once or twice.
After that, if you want a closer shave, once against the growth of hair.
When you're happy with the shave, and it feels smooth, use your finger tips. Dab the area dry and apply Baby oil. This will help keep the moisture in and help the skin to recover.
Then twice a day apply a lotion to help the skin stay supple.
You might get a couple of red bumps, but as time goes by the skin will get use to it. After a few weeks you'll no longer get the red bumps.
Start shaving every 3-4 days, after a week or two start doing it every 2-3 days, and after 6 weeks or so, you'll be able to shave every day in the shower without having to soak in the bath/tub.

I feel for you as you've had a bad experience, but if you want to have a smooth pubic area, I'm sure you'll love it.

It's a learning curve

Shaving or not is a personal decision, as for women liking or not is their decision. The past three g/f’s I had liked me that shaved the first two g/f’s didn’t each had her reasons.
Of the five g/fs four were shaved to different styles and one had never shaved. Myself I like shaved totally bare but I won’t make a gul shave if she dosn’t want too. As far as manly you decide what manly is.. when two of my buds were telling me I wuzn’t manly but heard from a couple of other guls that I was getting head from two guls I was seeing they decided to shave… choice is yours

All this talk about not being manly to shave it. What could be more manly than a cock and balls that you're looking at. Shaved or not. Anyway guyz have been shavin it since at least the ancient Greeks and Romans. Some famous Greek statues show pubes , some no pubes. I say all guys should shave it, its so much nicer for sex and looks so clean. I been shavin it for years and will never go back. And my partner likes it a lot, too.

I see no reason to shave or not to shave. My husband trims himself and I trim he sometimes but just shorten the hair not remove it but that is just us everyone has to figure out what they like best. We only do it because his hair is about 2 inches long and get in the way of many of the things we do.

Im a 17 y/o male, and I just trim myself so its like 1/2 inch. My girlfriend (3 years) likes it that way. After I turned 16 we went all the way, before I trimmed the hair (she shaves) she asked me if I ever considered it. That night I trimmed it with beard scissors. She now much prefers the hair trimmed, she doesn't quite like it when I shave it all off, and it make me scratchy. I recently baught a beard trimmer from walgreens. Its got a little twisty thing to adjust the lenge to shave, so that makes it much easier. So if you don't want to shave all the way and you (or your partner) don't like the jungle try trimming it some, experiment, cause it worked for me. :D

Of corse the end decision is all up to you, if you really want to please your partner then talk to them about it.

I don't know about any one else but has not trimming the hair sometimes interfere with the condom? Like it will pull on the hair and stuff? trimming helps that, just wondering if any "junglers" have that problem?

Shaving is more acceptable now!

There's something cleaner and more aesthetic about a shaven women.
It also looks well kept, and healthy too.
And I find the female figure fascinating, and the more I can explore and gaze at it's beauty the better.
Some people think it's perverted, and wanting the women to look like a pubescent girl.
I don't think so!
How can a 5-6-ft tall women with C cup breast look like a pubescent child.
I was talking to some friends the other night (Very drunk), and we got onto the subject.
I was told by 5 women that they shave. Jokes were banded about what style if any, and razors or creams used. For a guy, it was surprising how frankly women can talk, and how adventurous they are about something so private.
These women are all in there 30's, and what I could tell from what they were saying, most men shave or trim quite short, and women love it!

It's seems that it's getting unfashionable to have pubic hair. And for those people who are troubled with irritating rashes, very short hair is the style.
It's not just a comfort thing, but a visual thing now.
If you take a look at how many hits this particular thread gets, compare to the amount the other subjects get on this site. It shows that so many people are very concerned and interested on this subject.

I would be very interested, in what women think on this subject, and there preference, be honest !

Aight the bottom line is this: Shaved is in, hair is out. I think everyone should shave but then people complain about rashes and such. First of all you need to have the patience. Your shave isn't going to be perfect the 1st week. Once you get around 6 weeks it looks perfect. So stick with it and I shaved once every 3 days the 1st 2 weeks so it wouldn't be as irritated. Also put lotion and a hot wet rag over the irritated areas, it helps a lot. I can't believe guys would want to go through all that itchy and uncomfortness so there hair will grow back and irritation will go away. And then some guys think other guys will think there "less of a man" without hair. But I see it like this, I'm shaved and I'm getting sex. I could stay unshaven so I would be "more of a man" and get no sex. I choose the sex and don't give a about what other guys think of me. If there looking and they mention it there probably gay anyway. Bottom line: shave it.

BUt this is for all the guys that complain about razor burn. I got a big tip from one of my girlsfriends to use like hand cream a day before shaving, like cover the whole area your going to shave. This helps get the skin soft or something and now I don't get any more razor burn. But I think if your going to totally shave your penis and area you should shave your whole body or else it looks funny and for the girls getting a face of hair when giving us head... get used to it every women has had to deal with it for the last few thousand years.

I agree with pedro888, apart from the whole body thing. Unless you're really hairy.
I'm not, and I like the fine hairs that lead down my stomach. I think it's called the pathway to paradise or something like that.
It's just I don't like a bushy pubic area. Then again I do go though phases where I grow it long. 1-2 inches. At the moment it's about 1cm long. So girls like it that length?

But lets hear what the girls think.

Don't be shy, the site is secure. Just give yourself a silly name and register...

I'm 20 year old male and I've never even really trimmed or anything till earlier today( well yesterday now since its after midnight ). I don't have a girlfriend and I probably wouldn't have trimmed it on any sort of whim or wanting to experiment. I have this itch of late... that I can't get rid of. I think it may be psoriasis (sp?)... its ing terrible... so I figured ide get rid of the jungle to see if that's one of the triggers that gets it all in need of itching.. I don't think it can be an STD seeing as I'm also a virgin.

MISTAKE. I think its probably one of the dumbest things I've done to date... was terribly irritated but its seemed to have relaxed a tiny bit in the last 6 or 7 hours. At first I was only just trimming with scissors. Lol did I yell when I accidentally cut myself.. but I got them all down to around 1cm in length and when I began to move I realised how intensly itchy and coarse they were... I absolutely could not stand it and descided to shave it completely bare with a razor. Used shaveing cream, wet towel, rinsed the razor multiple times, and then applied some polysporin.. I was a lot more cautious this time around.. no razor cuts :P in the next little bit I will be heading to the doctor I think.

To give a bit of insight on its looks... IMO I don't like how it looks completely bare. And I can't wait till I have at least a cm back.. might continue keeping it trimmed at that point. Won't let it become a jungle again.

I don't think we're... well I at least am comlaining as much as I am shareing my perspective on the topic. To do so I need to describe how I feel about it no?

Here is some sexual retaliation tho: women don't have balls moveing around and rubbing against legs and a rubbing against the balls so I think we have a bit more surface area to be irritated while moving around. Couldn't keep that from sounding much less crude then it did but I think it should get the point across. Those reasons might have something to do with why we "complain" a bit more.

Hey Koolcow88, what's your opinion on men shaving?
Do you think it's odd and feminine, or do you like the look and find it erotic?

I go through phases where I'll grow it long, and find it masculine. Then shave it off. I use to keep it shaved for 4-6 weeks an find it very erotic, but now I can't wait for it to grow back, in case anyone sees it and I'll die of embarrassment.

I'm single at the moment and would like to meet a girl. But I'm concerned what they'll think about the appearance of my pubic hair or lack of it.

I'd like to hear what women think...

I agree with you totally. I have lots of respect for women, especially my beautiful one :D. Anyway any gentleman that respects his baby girl shaves for her. Pedro your dis-respectful and probably don't get any girlfriends.

WHY would you leave hair on anyway when it feels SO much better off during sex?? It makes no sense.

Dude I don't see your problem here... "embarrassed"?? Ive been with 6 chicks and I have been shaved and they ALL loved it. Ummm I REALLY hope your not embarrassed of what GUYS think of your lack of pubic hair... because then you got a problem yo. I don't give a what guys think that still have hair.. I workout everyday and I am very muscular but I shave that part of my body for my woman and my own pleasure. If tried it both ways before, shaved 200% better. By the way, this also eliminates any pulling hair out or getting it accidentally caught in your zipper... that would blow.

Message: Don't TRY TO IMPRESS GUYS WITH YOUR PUBIC HAIR IF You're a MALE.

I don't think that shaving would make someone less of a man... it actually makes you look bigger which can be a good thing... I would never force someone to shave but I prefer a guy that does... I don't think I've ever heard any complaints from girls about there man shaving so to be safe id just say shave it... unless yer girl likes her men hairy

It seems to me that we have those that shave (me included) and those that due to fear of public opinion or irritation do not... With that in mind here is my two cents

You who do not shave are missing some of the greatest sex you could ever dream of. There is nothing like the sound when your shaved area comes in contact with her bare as you are pounding your shaft into her. My last 4 g/f got very hot as they heard and felt it... man did they gush. Which brings up another point. When she is riding you and she slids down your shaft and her juices are flowing that extra warmth on my shaved cock and area above and below makes me explode like nothing else I can think of except a real tight squeezing and milking my rock hard 9 inch for its load.

If you read any of my other posts you are aware that I am a practicing nudist. When I first started shaving I was one of 3 males out of a membership of 90 men and 120 women which over half shaved their now it is about 40 males shaved and 90 women shaved in degrees. Of the 60 teens 90 percent of them shave 37 girls, 23 guys the youngest is 12.

So the shaved look is here unless you are over 65 at least where I hang out.

I have thought about trimming, but can't stop thinking about what people (mainly the lads) would say when they found out (if they saw it in the shower or somethin). Monkey_luva, thinking long and hard about it, I've come to the conclusion that yes there are bad boyfriends out there. And I don't think you're the first to experience them. You've answered your own question. He's a Jerk! But Twats like that, are rare. I think your question is in the wrong thread, by the way.

Andyb43, If you have sensitive skin, then shaving is out. Trim to what length you want. Re your mates, chances are they've also shaved their pubes at some point, or even still do. I was in the gym yesterday, and notice this guy with a mass of pubic hair. It was like a black shaggy Dog sticking it's head between his legs. If that's natural, then nearly everyone else in the gym must trim their pubic hair. Think about it! Oh, and pubic hair grows about 3-mm a week.

comp1337_noob, Scissors, Twin blade razor, soap. That's all you need. Have a hot bath for half an hour. Read through some of the earlier entries, about 2-4 pages back. It will tell you how to go about it. PS The scrotum is very pliable and you'll not cut it unless you mean to.

I've been shaving my balls and around my shaft for about a year or so, mostly just cause I like the way it looks, the way it feels doing it, and feeling my balls afterwards. Last week I decided to shave everything. In the future, that's not for me. I recommend leaving a tightly-cropped patch, kind of like a triangle on either side of your shaft. Having some hair there doesn't make you look like a schoolboy, but really highlights your shlong. I shower at the gym four days a week, and just don't want too many questions about why I shave my junk. The balls and a tight trim is no big deal.

Hi Robert, perhaps you should have a think about it, you could always trim it first, to see how you feel about it. Shaving is a semi permanent thing to do. If you shave it off, and don't like the look, you've got a couple of months before your pubes are back to what they were like before. If you trim first, you can see how that looks, and if you feel ready, then shave. Make sure you do it properly though...

Im 18, and I trim. Usuialy about 2cm long, and it gets a bit itchy but not too bad. I can let it grow for 2-3 weeks then trim it again. Its easy, keeps the smell down and is polite to my girl.

I don't see the point in shaving it completely off the rest of me is covered in hair. Men are hairy... its what they do naturally. If you're a girl and you can't get over that F-off. I would shoot myself in the head before I shave my chest for a girl.

I don't think you should look from this point of view. Women would be hairy too if they wouldn't take care of themselves in order to look nice for their boyfriends. I think that taking care of our bodies (including shaving pubic hair) has a lot to do with the amount of respect we have for our loved ones.

:) Oh yeah! You are correct. It's definitely a hygiene issue. The orgsam is a bonus. I can't go a day without shaving otherwise I feel unclean. It's pubic hair, same as what grows on a mans face. In this day and age it should be shaved. I feel a lot of men probably think it's gay, but realistically you're taking care of yourself by keeping clean(er). I think shaving your balls, back, legs and chest will become routine for the male speicies. There's a lot of men doing it and just by the replies on this subject they're interested.

Hey you
Im a male, 19 years old, and couple months back I started wondering wouldn't it be nicer to trim my pubic hair. Im not into the whole shaving thing 1 beacause it seems annoying and two I just don't like the look... So I trimmed and boy does it itch like a mother f*** Literally whether at school or work in the car or in starbucks I always feel like scratching... So I'm wondering if I continue to trim (which I def prefer to do) will it eventually stop itching? If not I will have to obendon that wonderful idea... Long time trimmers respond :-D Peace

Hi I'm a maloe of 18. A few days back I got it in my head that if I shaved my pubic hair, it would stop the irriation of the 'jungle'. It's been about 3 days since then and gosh, IT'S HELL! It's the itchiest, most stinging thing I've ever endured. I'ts like having a bunch of bristely whiskers down there, like little needles poking and peircing. I am alarmed to state that I cannot so much as sit down without being forced to endure tremendous pain.

I used a triple-bladed razor with shaving crème in the shower, and I thought that would be adequate. Maby there is something I did wrong but this is honestly one of the worste sensations I've ever felt. I've got the red bumps which I know are hair follicles attempting to break through the skin. Many have done so already.

Anyone ever experience this and, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE IT STOPS!!

(From now on I intend to strictly trim. I only wish I had done some research before I started this).

I think that its HOT! Makes oral sex much better, a female doesn't get all the loose pubic hairs in her mouth/teeth. Don't listen to what anyone says as far as it not being cool or whatever they may say. Its sexy!!

spectre237-I hope the razor wasn't dull. Use a brand new razor and make sure you clean and dry it for the next time. Also, use a lot of lotion afterward. You'll see it cuts down on the irritation and after you keep shaving it will get better, cross my heart. Remember, it took you 5-6 years to grow it and now your skin is kind of in "shock." Wear boxers or "comando-style" and loose light fit pants. You'll be fine. :)

spectre237
Oct 24, 2005, 08:59 PM
Yes the razor was a brand new triple-blade, I've been using hydrocortezone crème, but I guess that won't have the same effect as lotion so I proly need some of that, and I've been wearing boxers since like age 12. I guess the skin has proly settled down just a tiny bit since my last post possibley because I laid in the bathtub for like 2 hours, hehe. I think I'm planning on growing it out some then keeping it trimmed to a centimeter or two.

Hmm I guess maby it's not so much the skin as it is the thick, thick bristles. Does the skin adjust to their scratching, and how long do they have to grow before they stop the scratching. It's like having a beard down there, hehe.

I've truly gone through some painful experiences in my life and I've got to say, earlier today ranks up with the worste of them. :o

Thanks for the reply!

I've heard that growing it back out is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Is this true?

Growing it back can be uncomfortable, it's like itching all over again... once you start you can't stop. You'll be fine. Trim the pube's, but shave your balls. It's much cleaner and looks well groomed. Shaving the balls becomes just as natural as shaving your face. Hang in there, bud

Someone else asked before, but it doesn't seem to have been answered...

If you shave your pubes, how far do you have to go - if you're naked there, do you continue and do the tops of your legs, do you have to go further -- won't you look a bit stupid if you've got a bald c**k, and hairy elsewhere??

I'm well up for shaving (to give it a try) but I'm not shaving my legs!

All right thanks a lot for the replies. The skin has definitely seemed to settle down a lot since my last post. I don't mind the itching near as much as I mind the needle-like feeling of the new bristles and that feeling is starting to subside now I think. It's just the skin is so irrtated and hurt now, I don't think any amount of itching could compare.

Yeah... I guess I am going to start keeping my balls shaved now that I think about it. Just got to make sure and be careful.

Nope, it won't! If you shave your legs, your hair will become more dense and you will have to shave it again and again until you won't need your pants to protect you from the cold :D

Yes there is and its called shaving foam (not the one you are thinking of right now). You just apply it to wherever you like and let it do the job for a small period. After that, you just have to use a towell to wipe out the hairy parts. I still prefer the old method though...

okay this might be werid to ask ill ask anywayz

im 15 and i shave my pubic hair. i started about a yr ago. now i dont kno if girls like it when a guy does that or no. i do it for two reasons. 1. it keeps that area clean and it doesnt itch. 2. my **** looks bigger lol.

now i dont get why some guys get all crazy when they find out a person shaves that area. whasts soo wrong about that? i mean its not that bad...does it make me less of a man? i dont see how that would be but does it?

also do girls like it when its shaved or they want a jungle going on down there?

I admit, before I reply, I haven't read everything that everyone else has posted, but for my own opinion, I think a lot of girls (no matter what they say) do like it when a guy shaves down there. First, it helps (girls won't get hair in their mouth & everything), and two, it just makes everything better for both of you. And it doesn't make you less of a man -- the guys that get all crazy about that probably just don't do it themselves and just think it's weird, or they do it themselves and they don't want anyone else knowing so they get crazy and laugh at you.. (Or whatever guys do). All I know though, is my b/f does shave down there, and shaves his armpits, but I don't think he's any less of a man at all. I think basically I'm just thanking him for doing both so he doesn't stink. :p So if you want to shave down there, or shave your pits, go ahead... Girls will REALLY thank you -- especially if you get a job & have to work so much that at the end of the day you are really sweaty & dirty. At least you'll smell better than you would've otherwise. Or if you're athletic, the same goes for that, too. It just helps. Especially if you have a girlfriend. Good luck in all your replies that you get.. and I don't know if this will help, but if you want to be able to shave or trim without worrying about cutting yourself, they have something called Finishing Touch.. I am a girl, and it works great. But don't worry -- they have basically the same thing, for guys, although I am not sure what it is called. If you have a Wal-Mart or a Target around you or anything, you can pick one of those up for about $10 or less. Have a good day, and good luck with everything! :) :D

Okay, this is a little embarrassing for me, since I've never actually talked about this before. I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice on shaving pubic hair. I'm 18 (female) and started shaving about a month ago with a normal razor and cream. It worked but now I've got razor bumps, plus the skin gets sore just afterwards. The biggest problem is that by razor shaving its impossible to get all the ahir - the roots stay in. I tried waxing a few days ago but that didn't work - it wasn't too painful, but the roots still didn't come out and nothing much happened at all.

So now I'm at a loss about what to do - all the waxing products say not to use it on pubic hair, and I don't know any other product that works. Does anyone have any suggestions?

baal12
Dec 26, 2005, 09:27 PM
For the first while it will be sore, I just used some mild lotion right after I was done shaving. LET IT SOAK! Be in the bath for about 30 minutes in a hot bath before you shave. Then shave. It's a lot easier. I don't know if this is fact or just how it appears, but it seems hair grows less and less now.. Just keep at it if you wish.

I finally caved and experimented with a razor the other day. Three words - oh my God! Why didn't I do this sooner? It's such an amazing feeling shaved and I don't think I will ever go back! What I did was shave my balls and trim the area above my cock (I think it would look to weird if I shaved everything). It is seriously amazing and it's not as scary as some people might think. I used the Gillette Mach III Turbo razor and was careful and didn't have any problems. There was a little bit of itching after the first time, but now that I've shaved a couple of times, it is fine. I suggest that everyone who is somewhat interested in doing this at least TRY IT! You can always grow the hair back out if you don't like it, but I'm willing to bet that you won't want to! The first time takes a while (especially if you have a lot of hair). Take your time and be careful and the subsequent shaves are much more quick and easier!

Something you might want to keep in mind, if the hair is long (more than 1/4 inch) or thick, then you will want to trim it close, on top with electric shaver (CAREFUL) or a small pair of scissors and a finetooth comb. It helps stop some of the pain, and the razor moves through better, providing a more smooth, even stroke so you don't have to stroke as many times. Also you might want to remember not to try and shave the same spot a lot, it causes more irritation!

Smoother is better... use a Silkepil whick is a more quick way to pluck the hair slower but less painful than waxing... stays smooth for weeks... no stubble and best of all no itching... wife appreciates it since no hair to get in throat to induce gagging... and while she was resistant to shave at first she has grown to like it and keeps it that way without any begging required...
And being a guy what do I think about other guys? Hell with them... they don't know what they are missing if they don't, and for those who may dissapprove?. its my life and my body... not theirs... and don't care what they think.

Six words: Walmart. ShaveMan electric razor. Three Dollars.

I got this cheap little razor to trim up my pubes so that I can dye them soon, and it works great. Now everything down there is so clean and crisp. It allows you to get rid of crazy stray hairs, and I managed to get those damn annoying hairs off the sides of my shaft.

PS: If any of you curious guys have questions about shaving or just pubes in general, feel free to PM me, I'm up for a chat.

Uh hey I always thought guys didn't shave unless they were gay or something. It's just wrong and weird. One kid says he does that but I think he's just joking. Says it prevents crabs or something.

But anyway I'm wondering if it's about time to start shaving because it's getting rather long. I always used to think pubic hair just grew like half an inch or less and then just kind of stopped, but it seems be going quite a lot more than that. Also, the hair seems to be growing almost halfway up the shaft of the penis. That's not normal is it? Occasionally it does itch but I'd rather not shave it and keep being manly.

Sometimes it interferes in oral sex and or masturbation because the hair is so long it gets caught and hurts slightly. Perhaps I should just trim it down halfway or so. But if I start doing that it'll grow faster and longer, which I don't want...

This isn't high school and what others might think really doesn't matter. True its not extremely common among guys but that is changing... If YOU like it and your girlfriend/wife likes it that's all that matters... its not like tattooing your face... it does grow back if you get tired of it. Trick is giving it a chance try it for a few months... then base your decision.. most guys.. me in particular appreciate a smooth kitty on our woman a lot.. I hate stray hairs in my mouth with a passion... and it wouldn't be any different for her.

Hi Guys,
I am shaving my pubic hair on every two weeks. Shaving keeps the area neet and clean. I love to have a clean pubic area so I can apply some moisturizers there too. When I have sex with my wife who is also shaving it regularly we feel very comfortable. It is easy to clean if you have clean shaved area. That part gets dirty very quickly and if you grow a jungle there where some ladies wants play on the jungle. It will smell like a rotten place. You may tell that you are taking bath and using soap or shampoos but it is easy to get perspired if you are in a hot country.
Then this issue is strictly personal. It is not necessary that all other guys in the world should like my idea of shaving the pubic area on a bi-weekly basis. Some might shave there on a weekly basis, some on a monthly basis, some on a yearly basis and some others never. So those who shave and keep that area clean continue and enjoy a clean shaved pubic area and those are not shaving also continue as usual.

If a man doesn't keep it shaved on a daily basis where it is nice and smooth... let me tell you from experience it can be slightly uncomfortable for a woman. It pokes and it hurts! Everyone is different though. Just because one woman may like a man that is shaved, another woman may prefer the JUNGLE!

Actually I'm not sure if this would work for a guy, I don't see why it wouldn't but, I use to shave with regular shaving cream but when I would it would really itch and get irratated, so I heard somewhere that it was good to shave with regular hair conditioner. It suppose to give you a cleaner shave and moissturizes the skin down there so it doesn't get irratated. And it has worked for me.

There is a product on the market for woman called Coochie Cream, usually you buy it a sex novelty parties or at adult stores, but that's basically what it is, it has the same stuff as conditioner does. Just a little FYI for you fellaz, if your having irratation problems.
I think its worth it, like I said I think it looks hot when a guy shaves down there. I think maybe a lot of girls ilke it.;)

Just an opinion, but it seems likely that in the areas where body hair remains it is to retain odour and so to concentrate pheromones.

Well, I guess I might be one of the oldest guys to post on this topic, but here goes. I'm 54 and have been shaving my balls and around the base of my **** for years. It DOES make me look bigger, is more comfortable especially in warm weather, and I don't sweat as much down there. AND my wife loves it! We've recently gone to using a new triple-blade Venus razor by Gillette; it's great! Since it has a pivoting head and flexible blades that have never nicked or cut me. I bought it so I could shave my wife better, since she was really bugged by razor burn from time to time; since using the Venus, she more responsive in EVERY way (woohoo! ) and she can shave as a prelude to our lovemaking instead of it being a chore (not really) prior to us having fun. Give the Venus a try! Oh, yeah, she and I leave matching little crops above our equipment, so we're not totally shaved, but the sex (oral & otherwise) is the best we've had in years!

Well, Iam a female in my thirties and for myself, I love to be shaved. The only thing that drives me crazy is it still itches sometimes. As far as for my man, I have to say that I do like it trimmed rather than shaved.:)

Ok I've tried (by 'tried', I mean still frequently do :) ) doing this loads. But here is the main thing... it itches so much (and you've attempting to do this on your balls..? ).

Most women like it trimmed (based on my experience - unless it's the kind of women that like womanish looking men... I've got clue about that part), but obviously you don't want it to look like you've trimmed it (unless you're a shaggy fan) because then it seems quite homosexual.

I've been thinking of getting laser hair removal on that part.. but I've been told that its not possible on balls = probably will sugar strip it off.

But still... your 15... shouldn't be thinking about this stuff

But anyway... go for sugar stripping it off (or using an epiliator.. not sure if that's the right spelling but... it's a device that rips hair from the root).. but remember to put ice to numb your skin in that area of pain before doing any of the stuff I've just said.

For the love of god don't use sugaring on your testicles as suggested! It's like wax and will hurt A LOT. Not that I know too much about testicle pain, being female!

Put it like this you would be in some real pain and may even end up in the E.R:confused:

I agree!! I would NEVER do that! I shave/trim and have for years. An electric razor with the right extension works just fine.

I have even waxed there (no, not on the testicles, for the love of God! Lol) but close enough. Not worth it... besides, you have to let it grow out too much before you can wax again.

Anything else like sugaring, nair, or any chemicals to remove... just don't do it. There are easier, safer, and less painful ways.

OMG that has got to hurt... I get my eyebrows waxed and can't imagine doing it down there... oh boy... too close for comfort

Has anyone else tried the Venus razor by Gillette? If you had, I think you'd really like it and NOT be talking about nicks and itching. It's great!

okay this might be werid to ask ill ask anywayz

im 15 and i shave my pubic hair. i started about a yr ago. now i dont kno if girls like it when a guy does that or no. i do it for two reasons. 1. it keeps that area clean and it doesnt itch. 2. my **** looks bigger lol.

now i dont get why some guys get all crazy when they find out a person shaves that area. whasts soo wrong about that? i mean its not that bad...does it make me less of a man? i dont see how that would be but does it?

also do girls like it when its shaved or they want a jungle going on down there? It makes you MORE of a man because you are doing what you want and not doing what others think you should do. Not bowing to peer pressure is a sign of maturity. I've done it for years and so does my wife... Like you said... its cleaner and doesn't itch in the summer when you sweat. More guys do it now than when I started, same with women. We however pluck most of ours which does not take much to maintain as unlike shaving it all doesn't come back at the same rate, a half hour every week is all it takes... we do each other and don't have to deal with massive razor stubble between shaving.

Plucking? Doesn't that hurt down there? I pluck my eyebrows and even that stings.

Plucking? doesn't that hurt down there? I pluck my eyebrows and even that stings.Actually no... and trust me its nothing like waxing even if the result is the same. On the shaft and scrotum it does sting a little as well as close to the vaginal opening.

The level of discomfort is really very low. THe tradeoff it it takes about an hour the first time and about 30 minutes a week to maintain. It only hurts worst the first time... any following times the discomfort is noticibly less.

Well your braver than me. I don't think I would have the guts to pluck down there. I shave down there on a regulat bases, before a lot of hair comes back so it doesn't take too long for me. I give you credit! Lol!

I have found it works great on my g/f in her hard to get area (lips and closer) and on my sack no hair any where on either of us.

I trim her every other day so... LIFE IS GOOD :) :) :) :) :)

As a girl I find that when your giving oral you want to be able to actually get to his cock without having to pull hairs out of your teeth afterwards but whether you shave or just trim is up to u. u appear to feel quite strongly about it religiously so if you want 2 shave 4 religion then you should shave.

I shave that region if I'm expecting a visit. Lol an I find that it only itches 4 like a day when it has gone just past stubble stage. I think because it makes your cock look bigger and gives me less problems with giving oral then it makes the sexual experience better for both people. I find it quite a turn on actually.

Just out of interest does it attract you guys or would it put you off if mine was completely shaven? Let me know.

For me I find women who shave it all off all the time very sexy and very tasty. If you look back through the posts you will find many of mine highlighting the extra enjoyment that is had by me being shaved and g/f being shaved

10 years of no hair there I started going shaved at 15 and would never think of having hair there again. I was a swimmer in high school and had 10 or 12 girls that would give me oral anytime I wanted it cause like you said no hair in the teeth. Senior year was getting it during school in a storage room near the pool every day.

LIFE WAS and IS STILL GOOD :) :) :) :) :)

fi xxxLet me put it this way... I PREFER a fully shaved kitty, as it displays the woman all all her glory without a bunch of weeds obstructing the view.

That holds true with my wife.. and any woman I see on stage or in a movie.

I Don't KNOW why men find shaving or waxing so bad, I personally as a female! Think its sexy, do it men should always shave it's a good thing, its so smooth to touch and if your getting steamy, you don't end up with hairs in your mouth! TRUE!

There are times I get tired of reading all the times it makes a guy look non masculine or it itches. So here is something all you females can respond to as well as the males.

I have been shaving all including the balls for 13 years now I'm 28. My new g/f likes it she is also totally hairless all the way around to and including the back door. For valentines day we decided to get tattoos. Nothing like names but images.

She had three rose bouquets done one above her vagina and one on each side you could say now I'm putting my rod in a bed of roses.

I selected a coiled snake cause many of the g/f's I've had have called it a big snake. I had the tattoo guy start the coil above the base and continue the snake head down onto the shaft itself. When I become erect the head of the snake enlarges and its mouth opens to show what look like fangs.

No sex for a few days but now the g/f really likes to get it.

We were at a pool party of friends the other night and I could hear her tell 5 or so of her g/fs about us getting inked. So we showed the artwork off. Several of the guys thought I was nuts but liked hers and the same was true for her. The funny part was that during the party 3 of the 5 g/f asked her if they could make my snake show its teeth to them.

I honestly think that shaving is a personal preference. I do not believe that it makes you more or less of a man or woman. It's how it feels for you. Both me and my fiancé shave due to hygiene issue with being in the military and going out in the field. I shave everything and he shaves his balls and trims everything else. And we both enjoy the way it looks and feels on ourselves and each other.
