Hello
I have a problem, I tried to snake out my plumbing problem myselg and well the snake got stuck on something snapped off and went down in my vent/drain system. Now I am having Major Major problems. I don't know how to to stop the flooding, if I flush the toilets it floods, if I was clothes it floods, take a shower it floods. I have three small kids and tired to do it by myself. Now I am constantly cleaning up sewer water. Any advise as to what to do now. I am not sure how to solve this problem now. I have called plumbers out but no one know what to do? HELP!!

First of all don't panic! This is fixable! Let's first retrive that broken cable. D
How large is the snake that's caught down the vent down there? This snake, is it yours or did you rent a sewer machine,(see image). If you have a rental go back and ask for a retrival tip,(see image). This tip augers int the broken cable and will bring it back. I'm surprised your plumbers didn't know this.
Send the snake with the retrival tip down until it augers in to the broken cable and you hear the motor start to strain. Stop and pull back. If ithangs up try reversing the motor and see if you can back it out that way. You still have a blockage so retrive the broken cable and snake the vent again. Let me kn0ow if the broken cable comes back with dirt on it. Good luck and thank you for rating my answer. Tom

The snake was mine. It was about 2 1/2 feet long to 3 feet long. Was was not big. The tip on it was a normal house tip . Nothing industrial. Im freaked out so, the relax mode has left a while ago. I have spent over $1500 on plumbers:mad:, and have the same problem. Thank you! Where can I obtain this reversal tip from?
