My laptop can't display when I switch it on it's a packed bell it only lightsup the stand by light ,battery light, the fan runs and dvd drive lights up but it cannot display anything I thought the mother board is the one not working

I have the same problem buddy! Did you recently try re-formatting or any restore/recovery at all?

No I ddn't try to re format but there were power flactuations and I swiched it back on it could nt display anything,
Am pazzled because the power adapter is fine and the laptop idicates that it can receive power all lights are on but it cannot display any thing at all it's just quiet and black screen no noise at all from the laptop, actually even the dvd drive light is on,but even if I put in a recovery cd it cannot paform anthing

If you have access to an external monitor, hook it up to see if anything shows up on the external.

If it does show on external monitor, there would be a problem with the display.

If you call tech support, they will have you do the following to confirm whether it is display or not.

-Disconnect everything from laptop and remove battery and disconnect AC power
-Press and hold the power button down for 40 secs
-Now put back AC power and see if anything will show up on display

If not, at this point, tech support would have you get the laptop serviced.

You will probably be able to use external display in meantime.
