Hello People, I have this Volt brand generator that I have only used a few times over the past 20 years. It's rated at 4400 continueous, and 6000 surge Watts. I need to know if there is another type of carb out there that would bolt up, and work in place of the original one. Thank-You, Jim.
Here are the numbers... Model.. 190412... Type.. 3004 01... Code.. 87121610

Hi,
Manual shows it to be a 390323 carb(2 piece FloJet) and you will probably have to go with that or whatever new part number it may have.
Manual at:

Hello there, I was thinking of a totally different style carb like a... 1 piece flow jet.

Hi,
A little checking will, I hope, make it obvious that a one-piece Flo Jet was intended for a different style of engine, a vertical shaft.
I have seen other brands of carbs adapted to engines for performance reasons, Webers, Mikunis, Tillotsons, etc. Time or the help of other's work is required to get the correct models/types venturi and jetting. A bit of research with the help of a search engine may yield fruitful results(Hint: do not be afraid to try different search terms and change the order of the terms in the search.)
Peace,
Clarke
