All right, well, several heating/plumbing people haven't been able to tell me what's going on with this, but here it goes. I have an electronic, programmable thermostat regulating the heat in the first floor of my house. The problem is that it is constantly resetting the time, hence, setting the requested temperature to the 63 that we keep it at a night. I've tried different thermostats in the same space and there has been the same, consistent problem. I've tried switching the red and white wires in case the wires were crossed at my boiler - no improvement. I really have no choice right now than to go back to my manual thermostat.

Any ideas?

Does the thermostat use batteries? If not, you may need one that does to support program memory with a 2-wire system, or perhaps provide a low voltage common circuit to the C terminal of the thermostat, if present.
