I didn't give enough information regarding my son that is charged with grand theft and burglary. It is in the state of Florida. They broke into an unoccupied dwelling and stoled a television and was caught. He states that he was just the driver and the other guy broke into the home and took the television and told him to pop the trunk and he put the television in the trunk. They drove away and was caught. The other guy is stating that my son broke into the home and took the TV. It was my sons car they were driving. He went before the judge this morning and his bond was set at $5000.

Hello bama:
Please keep ALL your information on ONE thread. It's MUCH easier to follow that way.
In the eyes of the law, it doesn't matter WHO went in, or WHO just stayed in the car. BOTH are equally guilty. The other guy trying to heap blame on your son is NOT helping himself. He THINKS he is, but he ain't.
If you want to HELP your son, you should tell him NOT to speak to the cops anymore, and you should hire the best criminal attorney you can. Apparently, guilt or innocence ISN'T an issue.. But, punishment IS. That's why he needs a good lawyer.

Again - what is the specific charge, what degree?
