I purchased a hone where someone left a nail file on a corion counter and it left a rust mark. Can this be removed?

Possibly
Corion comes in matt semi gloss and gloss and high gloss finish. Try C.L.R its in the box stores. This removes most rust depending how deep No I never used it on corion but try a sample under the counter edge to make sure it doesn't discolor it. You could also get 00 or 000 steal wool and try that . You can fine real fine steal wool in the paint section in a good paint store or big box Now the sanding depends on your type of finish. Dupont Corion will warn on sanding but yet its sanded when made and you can get kits to do so. They also tell you the counter needs to be cut by the factory reps with a special saw. On a hospitil job the reps wanted $800.00 to make two cuts. We reversed a plywood balde in a saw and cut it like butter and smooth. So not to bust on Corion and it is a nice product but it's a racket at times.

Try "Barkeeper's Friend" it comes in a can like Comet, it is a very mild abrasive used for cleaning porcelain sinks, glass cooktops, lot of other uses. Costs about $2.00, excellent rust remover
