So ummm I get acne or boils or something (I typically just refer to them as "my bumps" cause I don't really know what they are) near my privates and on my thighs... they take like 6-9 months to go away sometimes. And the problem is a lot of the time when I squeeze the pus out of them they bruise or something and turn purplish and stay. Also I have scars from old ones. That isn't exactly the kind of place I want to have scars. It's been like this for like 4 years and they can be painful at times, mainly they just annoy and embarrass me though. Not exactly the most attractive thing. :( What is this? How do I make it go away?

Bathe daily using anti-bacterial soap in that area. NEVER squeeze the "zitz". It only causes more discomfort & scarring. Consider your dietary intake.

Do you know what they could be though?!

They could be ingrown hairs. Make sure you're not using a dull razor on your legs; that makes mine get ingrown every time. Definitely don't squeeze them, especially if it's causing scarring.

Are you sexually active? Is there a risk of STDs?

They started when I was like 13 so they couldn't have been STDs...
