What's the set up here . Normally the "hose" is a copper or cpvc waterline. What's this heater for a house. Trailer, camper? Not to be insulting dd you turn the valve on after the repair? And explain Cartridges. The ones "nipples" in the hot water heater top where the "hose" connects?
A little more info please Thank you

That's OK yes I turned the valve on. The hose I changed was a meatel braded hose I bought house for 5 years and the water heater was here I never really had great hat water pressure . When I first turn on the hot water its great for a second and then the water just trickles out

What is cartridge The filter on the house water line? In the top of the hot water heater where you hook up the waterlines there are "nipples" that set down in the heater water connections them self they get clogged clean them and then replace if there are shot.
