I got a call from a collection company and the man told me if I didn't pay a certain amount by Wednesday (today is monday) I would be served papers and assigned a collection attorney in my county. Can anyone tell me what will happen next? I'm so scared and nervous!!

He may just be trying to scare a payment out of you so that the statute of limitations can be renewed; I've had some friends deal with some pretty shady debt collectors.

Yes I have been receiving phone calls but have been unable to make anytype of payments due to doctor bills for my son and your everyday bills as well.

If they are going to take this to Court there is little you can do to stop them - other than paying the debt which I wouldn't do without knowing more info.
