I used to use a recipe for oat crunchies from the Be-ro recipe book of my Mothers. The crunchies used half white fat half margarine flour, rolled in oats and topped with lemon icing. I loaned the book and it was never returned. Does anyone have the proper recipe please?

2oz Lard
2oz Margarine
3oz Sugar
1 teacup Rolled Oats
1tsp Golden Syrup
3 tsp Boiling Water
Few drops vanilla essence
