I have a R60 and hoping to upgrade RAM.
I check in the BIOS and found I have 2X512
What should I do?

This is what Lenovo says:
Memory
PC2-5300 Non-Parity (NP) Double Data Rate Two (DDR2) Technology
The use of 667 MHz SO DIMM memory is recommended for this system.
256 MB, 512 MB, or 1 GB standard memory
Supports maximum memory up to 3GB
Recommended for memory expansion are 2 GB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM 533 MHz SO DIMM or 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz SO DIMM.

Which put me in a odd situation
What is better:
(A) 2Gig of PC2-5300 or
(B) 2.5Gig of 2Gig of PC2-4200 + 512Mb of PC2 or
(C) Ignore Lenovo and get 3Gig of PC2-5300

What is my best choice

Thank you

If cost not a factor, get 3 GB (1 GB Module + 2 GB Module replacing your two 512 MB modules) of 667 Mhz. I think the "recommended" expansion listed on Lenovo's web site is for minimizing cost by using one of the existing modules. If in doubt, contact Lenovo for clarification.

I agree with Scleros get the 3gb. You can 3gb of 667 from crucial.com for $36.00 That's dirt cheap.
