We just bought our first house (well an older single wide trailer) and the toilet in the master bathroom has just started making a loud moaning/vibrating sound that will not stop unless the shut off vavle is turned off (this happened after the last flush)
When you put your hands on the toilet you can feel the vibrating.. also if you turned on the other taps in the house it stopped but as soon as you turned them off it started again.. or if you flushed the toilet it stopped while it was being flushed and then started again right after it was done..
.. Ummm really don't want to start calling the plumbers out.. we haven't moved in yet.. been getting it ready to move in..

What could this be.. is it easy to fix? Help please

I would really appreciate it..

Thank you in advance

Lift the toilet tank lid and play with the auto fill valve and see if that changes your moaning sound. IF the valve stops the moan or changes the sound then there you have it. You can try and repair it by I would just replace it. So if you need another fill valve just go to big box store and get a Fluid Master with a flapper Be careful there are two boxes that looks like identical , but one is without flapper "the part that seals tank water from leaking to bowl. If you want to test your flapper use some food dye in the tank let sit for some time and see if color shows up in bowl.

You have either dirt in the fill-valve or loose stem in angle stop valve.

Close and Open angle stop all the way. See if noise stops.
