Or your tank fill / water line is restricted on filling tank and the tank fill may be getting old.

First is this a small two second beep of a noise or is it a noise that last the full time the commode is filling and the noise changes as the tank fills?

I can think of two possible points for you to check to see if you can pin point the noise.

First take the lid off the commode tank, flush and while it is making the noise put your hand on top of the fill valve in the commode, now move the float around and up and down to see if you can change the sound of the noise. If you can it might be the fill valve itself, some have a small diaphram in them that may need to be replaced.
The next thing is to flush the commode and this time put your hand on the cutoff found below the commode, if you feel a lot of viabration in this valve it is probably the problem, on this a washer can be changed and most time stop the noise.

Also: close and open back your angle stop. Otherwise, do as advised in previous posts...

What you hear is the washer vibrating sgainst the ballcock seat. The reason it stops when you turn the water on is that you have lowered the pressure by opening a valve. You can go at this two ways. (1) you can lower the pressure by turning the angle stop located below the tank until the noise stops or, (2) you can shut off the stop and remove the three screws on top and cup your hand over the top and just crack the stop enough to flush out any trash that may be in there. After you do that pull the washer out of its holder and flip it over in its holder and reinstall the top and float. One of the two should do the trick. Good luck and thank you for rating my reply.
