That does sound weired! People differ a lot though, some people don't think to ask personal questions... for some reason LOL I've wondered about it...

How long have you known each other? Does he come a cross as a little shy?

Guys only wanting to have sex with girls treat them nicely in private, and less in public.

It sounds like he's just shy.

Insteading of texting you should talk instead. This way you can actually hear his reactions and responses to your questions. This way you can get a better feel of things, you can't get this through texting.

Also, maybe this will help him open up more and feel more comfortable expressing hisself around you rather it be in person or over the phone.

Your just meet so your are just getting to know one another and whenever you have any questions about things, don't be afraid to ask.

I think he would need a chance to get more comfortable with you, and he does sound shy. Is he nice in person, respectful, considerate??

I got to ask, how old are you?

Granted, I'm young, but I never saw texting as a way of conversating with someone you just met. You can never get the emotions, the reactions, not to mention, the timing.

Call him. Or meet him. Talk to him in real time.

Yeah, calling can be a good way for you to get to know him better, especially seeing as he is shy...

But I got to disagree with the comment on texting... sure its not an actual conversation, there can be a good mix of txting, meeting etc.

Granted, texting is a good way of... saying HI, or "can you pick up the milk on the way home," but as far as having deep meaning conversations where you want to get to know someone... talking is far better.

... plus, it's easier on the thumbs.
