I live in a condo and have noticed after bathing the ceiling/wall beside the shower accumulates a pool of water behind the paint on the wall a little smaller than a golf ball. Was wondering what's causing the problem and ways to correct it.

It sounds like the latex paint is bad in that spot and sucks in the water and the primer might be shot also If so remove loose paint let it dry out real good the use a Binz or kilns sealer and repaint with a good semigloss latex

Or Is that side of the shower on an outside wall? If so The wall is not insulated well and the "hot"water in the shower is heating up the bathroom and more in the shower. The opposite a glass of cold beverage in summertime.
The bathroom may in general be sweeting too much and it needs an exhaust fan or better insul
Try my first suggestion first its cheap and at this point the whole wall might need redone in seal and paint. When water gets under latex paint it will bubble every where

What type of shower do you have? A custom tile shower or a manufactured one? Back to you , Tom
