Quick question... my husband recently got into some trouble.. he has not been convicted of anything yet though.. he just applied at walmart for a management position and is pretty much hired. He worked there previously.. about a year and a half ago. I heard that since he has previously been employed there and already had a background check done within the past 2 years they will not do another one. Is that usually the way it goes?

A arrest that has not been convicted, will or should not even show up yet. As long as he does not lie on the application for re-hire.
But after he is convicted, once they find out, it may have a result on his remaining hired

No - I've actually done background checks for Walmart. They are checking everyone. With luck they won't check him - but I wouldn't count on it.
They also - on the application that I saw - ask the applicant to sign for the background check. If they didn't ask him, maybe they won't run his name.

The question is what type of 'trouble' has he been in? That will be the issue. It depends on what walmart require from their background company. Some companies only ask for convictions. Every company varies, but he must answer the all questions truthfully BUT only answer what they ask!
