I married young at 15 by a revrend in tx... we had a baby together.. he cheated on me lots of times... we were young but I was in love... I thought and then I left maybe in a year or less than a year... my child stayed with his mother... we have now been separated 7 years.. can I get an uncontested divorce? Or what do I need to do? I don't want to fight for custody or anything I know it would hurt and confuse my child... we really don't have a relationship... his father doesn't take care of him... what do I need to do ? It's a really terrible situation... and something I have to live with...

When you first married did you do it with parents permission ? Were you a citizen of the U.S. In most states you couldn't get married at 15 without some form of consent and if that never happened then the marriage may be annulled. As far as the children go depending on what you need to file you would file for custody and support. You should have filed something years ago.

You can get a non contested divorce if he will agree to sign for it. There will also have to be custody paper work, and you will have to pay child support.

When you file for divorce your going to have to let the courts know there is a child involved and there will be custody decided during the proceedings. Did both your parents sign the marriage certificate or did they sign anything else to go with it ? How long ago did this marriage begin ?

Its been 8 years ago almost nine I think... I wanted to do an uncontested divorce since I don't want to fight for anything... I want it to be as calm as it can be...
