I have a small space between my living room and kitchen that I just painted. Prior to
Painting I removed wallpaper and it left left what appears to be holes in my wall. I tried to
Spackle, that did not work. I tried sanding, but that did not work very well. I already put a coat of paint on it and it does not look to good. What can I do to correct the problem?

" I tried to Spackle, that did not work" I I'm hanging here What of the Spackle did it not work or due? Stick to the wall, Fell out after stick? "Try sanding over hole and that did not work" It's a hole not a bump so what are you sanding that way? Wouldn't sand down smooth? Was there a bump too? Is the wall drywall or plaster? The wall paper "appeared" to leave holes in the wall. Did you by chance see any pieces of the wall on the wallpaper when you took it off. After reading my post you probably mad at me by now. It just sounds strange to me and it seems like we/ you are missing a piece of important description here. I could guess a this but I could get very accurate if you can answer my question please. I will be looking for your next post. Sorry soon as you said the Spackle won't stick all my flags went up. The biggest problem with Spackle no matter where you drip or drop it just plain Sticks. Unless it was a old paster wall and you were past the finish coat and the ruff coat is dry and dust and crumbly and the compound/Spackle would not stick to a dusty hole. Or the hole is a void and hollow Need more/different Info

Spackle is that gunk that won't dry, nor sand smooth.
It is supposed to fix very minor imperfections like a single nail hole.

Painting after wallpaper is going to require some serious preparation.
