My dryer stops at a certain spot and when I go in and move it forward a little it willstart back up. I took the top off and cleaned the lint that was in there thinking the lint was stopping it, but it still does it. What can I do?

If this is a standard timer then the motor that turns it is getting stuck/motor has lost the power to move the timer/dryer sensor is defective/try drying on a timed schedule only and see if the timmer keeps moving.

Thanks, I should have been more specific (it's my first time on here) If I put it on drying time between the start to 50 minutes of timed drying, losing that perspective 10 minute drying time because at the 30 minute mark it is "damp drying" time. So I put it over to high heat and it was doing the same thing. I pulled the knob off (does easily) and there was a lot of lint there. I had cleaned the dryer out everywhere else and never thought to see if this would pull off and would have lint. It seems to be working now with me playing with the knob around the time it always shut off. So, I guess I solved my own problem... look under the knob!! Thank you for your help though, much appreciated!
