my 1998 honda accord has 165k miles, a few months ago my 02 sensor light came on just now able to fix it. I took the car to Auto Zone to check the codes and now the 02 code is gone but the car code says cyl. 2 misfire, cyl.4 misfire and random misfire. Car runs but you can tell it is missing. I checked all plugs and wires and all 4 plugs are getting a spark. Two plugs are white not black like normal but that is due I think to it running too lean. Once the rpm's get above 2k it seems to not be so bad, but at an idle it bogs down and wants to die but doesn't, it stutters when you push down on the gas. Could it be bad gas or fuel pump or fuel filter? I put lucas injector cleaner and heet into the tank with fresh gas. The wife lets the gas get low a lot and it got extremely low tempuratre, around 9degrees the day it happened. Never once had a problem with this car yet, nothing but the usual tune ups, oil change, and brakes. The car was bogging down bad before so that is what made me change the 02 sensor, I changed the sensor the day this all started.

. Replace the spark plugs, with the exact NGK plugs recommended for the car.

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

. Replace the fuel filter, if it hasn't been done in the last 60,000 miles:

This should restore "like new" performance and reliability.
