Got a new PC and trying to connect to the internet via Virgin.
Trouble is it goes to the dial up connection windowthen says no connection available. I can't seem to get the broadband connection on the screen. By the way I'm using windows vista. Can any one help please.
p.s would it be better if I chucked vista and use window xp instead.

Not a fan of vista. But that is besides the point.
You need to go to the control panel and setup a new internet connection. If you are having troubles, contact your internet provider tech support and they should be able to walk you through it.

Have you run the networking wizard? Are you sure all your connections are plugged in properly?
