I am trying to add a switch to a ceiling light that already has a switch. I would like to control the light from 2 locations, instead of one. What do I need to do?:confused:

You will need to run a 3 conductor cable (the ground does NOT count) from the existing switch box to the new switch box you want to add. You will have to replace the existing switch with a "3-way" switch and put a 3-way switch in the new box. I won't get into the wiring until I hear more.

Also needed will be whether the power supplying the light enters at the existing switch box or the light.
