View Full Version : Want to loose weight desperately !

Hi,

Im 28yrs old female, 5'1" and I weigh 140 Lbs. I've put on lots of weight in last two years a and I just don't fit into any of my clothes anymore :eek:

I just don't eat any junk and Im sure that I'm not over eating, I got my thyroid chkd and that also turned out to be OK.
I even tried having lemon and honey in warm water, the first thing in morning but even it didn't help.
Im clueless now, what should I do? :confused:

Please help me with some tips to loose weight.

Hi, krissharma

Hmm you properly won't like to hear this but some planned workouts might be your only trick to hit that metabolism of your's.

Seems you would like to get rid of 19-21lb, that's only 61000Calories burn not a lot if you know that each hour of biking would use almost 1000 Cal. so 61 hour of hard work is not a lot if you split that into a 2 month schedule.

Try some fruit/fish diet you'll find it anywhere on Google.
Then plan your workout and see you in 2 month time when all your workout is done.

Last thing do not eat anything after 19:30 that's the worst you can do, if you get hungry eat some smaller fruits (apple, Clementine's) or drink a glas of milk instead.

Sounds like you just have a slow metabolism. All you really need to do is exercise and try to get more fiber in you're diet, it'll help speed up your metabolism. And exercise 20 minutes of a good cardio, running, biking, walking anything that will get your heart pumping and then strength training like crunches and push ups to build muscle after burning the fat.

I know exactly how you feel!! I was always tiny.. . Until I hit 40. I joined a local gym and started with 10 minutes of cardio each day. I had the trainer show me which machines to use and how to use them and I started with 10 reps on each of a circuit of 10 machines. I do cardio every day and lift every other day. I also incorporate stretching after exercising. I started on Memorial Day weekend, which is the last weekend of May. I am now up to 30 minutes cardio every day and 45 reps on each of 10 circuit machines. I have lost 32 pounds and dropped 1 1/2 sizes. The best thing is how much more energy I have and how much more positive I feel mentally.

If you have kids and they have a video game console, Dance Dance Revolution is a fun way to work out. My kids are grown and I use the PS2 my son left here and do the DDR just for fun! My daughter bought a Nintendo Wii and works out with that.

Do you have any friends who could walk or bike with you? I have 3 co-workers who belong to the same gym I do. It really helps to have someone with you. It helps keep me accountable for going!

Increase your fruit consumption. There is something about fruit that helps with weight loss. Don't drink fruit juice or pop/drinks with sugar in them. If you're thirsty, drink water and skip the calories.

DDR Dance Dance Revolution, muscle burns more calories than fat. Eat salads for the first week with no more than 4 oz meat per day and no salad dressing. Eat 3 times a day and drink 5 glasses of water, one in the morning, one with each meal and one at night. Never all at once for the sake of you heart. Take B complex to combat stress ( for stress eating ) Don't watch the food comercials or the people around you eating. Change what is in your salads regularly to keep your interest and satisfaction.
