Hi, I am a grandmother caring for 4 of my grandchildren through the courts and through Child Youth and Family here in New Zealand. My question is, my x daughter in law is an active prostitute and is now living with a convicted pedofile. My son gained interim custody of the children but lost them because his X made all sorts of sexual accusations against him with the children, which are not true. How does one clear his name. And how does he go about proving these accusations false.

Has he had CYS come to his home and investigate?
Has he asked for visitations supervised by CYS?
He needs to keep after them for his rights. If he doesn't keep asking what he can do to clear the spiteful lies they will think he isn't interested and they will not go chasing him down asking him to comply with anything. He needs to proactively pursue them on what they would want him to do to prove himself.

Nohelp answered this wonderfully, you must tell him to actively pursue his rights to the kids. He needs to keep showing his interest in them in what ever way possible, no matter how much they push him down he must get back up. He needs to get a lawyer as well, has he done that?
