View Full Version : MY 1999 HONDA ACCORD LX ignition will not work

When I try to start my 1999 HONDA ACCORD LX SEDAN, I turn the key and it stars but as soon as let go of the key, it dies. If I turn the key and press the gas pedal a little it will start and stay on as long as I keep the key all the way on - As soon as I let go of the key, it dies. This problem is all the sudden. I drove about 120 miles with no problem. I parked the car for about 5 minutes and went to start it and that is when the problem began. I did hear a squeaking in the front end about 10 minutes before parking. The squeaking was a completley new sound. Does anyone have any idea what this could be and the possible cost of the repair?

I have a 1990 accord,will not get over 45 mph,it is stuck in sport shift,I can get it to go back into normal drive.
